Built in 1958, this mid-century modern home was designed by the infamous Hugh Kaptur and has been thoughtfully updated to blend its mid-century origins with today’s desert lifestyle. Located on the North side's Gene Autry Neighborhood, this home is a peaceful retreat away from the world’s cares yet offers easy access to shopping, dining and all that Palm Springs has to offer. Pull up, tuck your car into the two-car garage and let your vacation begin.

An open concept living arrangement, the home opens into a short entryway with the well-stocked chef's kitchen and dining areas to the right, to the left is the hall to all three bedrooms, and ahead is the main living space. This entire living area is open, flowing seamlessly between areas and even offers bar seating for daytime snacks and an additional dining table for games or puzzles. This open room features large sliding glass doors looking out the sparkling pool and fully enclosed maturely landscaped private backyard. The space has clean lines with just the right amount of color pops, with classic modern mid-century furnishings for an Insta-worthy vibe and experience you will never forget. The living room has a large Smart TV with cable access and streaming capabilities.

Outside, a generous yard holds an open-air pergola for semi-covered lounging or gathering for sunset cocktails. A larger sparkling pool and hot tub/spa is the centerpiece with the pergola, fire pit and seating/dining areas around.

The primary bedroom offers a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with step-in shower, dual vanities, Smart TV with cable and access to the pool and spa. The two guest bedrooms are located across from the shared guest bathroom (with tub/shower combo). Both bathrooms are stocked with fine towels, hairdryers and amenities to get your stay off to a delicious smelling start. Both guest bedrooms offer queen beds and Smart TV’s.

Gene Autry is an up-and-coming neighborhood of Palm Springs. The neighborhood is rich with architecture and history. It should be noted the city has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The Desert Dolphin Oasis is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected to be as good a neighbor as we are. Special events like weddings are NOT allowed.

Pool heat and optional fees:
If you would like the pool heated to 86 degrees during the colder months the fees are $75 per day, $500 per week. If you opt in for pool heat, a VRBO invoice will be sent a few days before check-in. Payment must be made via the VRBO app 24 hours before check-in as the pool takes several hours to heat.

Pets:
Up to 2 pets considered (Dogs Only)
There is a pet fee of $90 (first pet), $45 (second pet).
The price for the first pet will be included in your booking price when selecting to include your pet. If a second pet is planned please message us and we will send an invoice via VRBO for the second pet fee.
Pets are not allowed on any furnishings.
