"The location is good and it's a charming building inside. The rooms are colorful and pleasantly decorated. Do keep in mind there are winding staircases to get to the rooms. It could be two if you're on the upper floor.
Bathrooms were problematic--they were having problems with the water heater and on our last day we were partly without water. Hopefully fixed by now. There is someone at the reception desk only from 8 lam to 2 pm. The rest of the time you're on your own. It was fine for a...

"Great location, lots of restaurants and shops in close walking distance. About a 5/10 min walk to the promenade. Our room was great, the bed was comfortable. Staff lovely and booked a trip for us. We enjoyed the breakfast. Ideal to grab a quick bite before you head out.
There was an occasional smelly drain in our bathroom but nothing that bad.
Would stay here again."

"Friendly staff and pleasant stay. We could walk to the beach or oldtown(5km). The breakfast was mostly white bread and cakes, but also has fruits and eggs, and our vegetarian had no problems getting full. Restaurant also looked good, but we didn't get to experience it. When the worst part is not being able to find a DND sign or opening the safe, then i'd consider it a great success.

"The hostel was alright - don’t put your expectations to high. The room was not cleaned very well but at least the bed looked clean. Also the room there worn. Most of the staff was alright - but especially one from the staff where more busy smoking marijuana than doing her job."

"I experienced two troubling incidents that left me seriously questioning this hotel’s professionalism.
First, while I was showering, housekeeping insisted on entering my room despite my repeatedly telling them to return later. They entered anyway and remained for several minutes, completely disregarding my objections. I have no idea what they were doing, but entering and remaining in an occupied room against a guest’s explicit wishes is an unacceptable invasion of privacy.
The second incident...
