"Arrived at guest house to find a note in the door. Called the number and was told to just go in, however the door handle was broken. They said they would come round. We were left standing outside in the rain for twenty mins before Someone opened the door (from inside - so they were there all along?!?).

I stayed at Crowne Plaza London Docklands with my family from 30th July to 1st August 2025, and I can confidently say this was one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we’ve had.
The air conditioning in our room kept shutting off throughout the stay, making the room hot and uncomfortable — especially at night. We tried calling the reception multiple times, but no one ever answered. We ended up having to go down to the front desk 2–3 times ourselves, wasting our time and energy on something that should have been resolved promptly.
Despite raising the issue repeatedly, nothing was properly fixed. As a gesture, the hotel offered us free parking, some loyalty points (not really useful to us), and a 20% discount for a future stay. Frankly, that doesn’t come close to making up for two nights of poor sleep and the stress we experienced.
I’m very disappointed, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. A decent night’s rest and responsive service are basic expectations — and even those weren’t met here.

We chose it even though it was a little outside Central London, but you get a very nice sizes room with a nice but small (and not new anymore) bathroom. Area is upscale, with lots of restaurants and there are also a couple of Tesco stores

Vi nød beliggenheden med udsigt ud over Themsen.

"Dejligt hotel. Vi havde et værelse uden vindue og var lidt spændt på, hvordan det ville være. Men det fungerede fint. Eneste ulempe er at det er svært at se, hvordan vejret er :-)
Meget hård madras, men det er jo ok for nogen.
Ærgerligt personalet ikke "sælger" stedet bedre; som at fortælle om morgenmaden, eller at der er gratis kaffe og vand i lobbyen.

"Et godt hotel for solo eller par rejse. Den har de essentielle og perfekt placering! Nem adgang til Central London, da stationerne lå 5-8 minutter væk i gå afstand. Dejligt og sikkert sted. Personalet var hjælpsomme og meget venlige. (De er/var under ombygning da jeg var der, men det betød ikke spor). Jeg var på dobbeltværelse med vindue. Min eneste beklagelse er, at puderne var alt for hårde og små. En elkedel ville have været perfekt, så må kan kunne lave en morgen kaffe eller the. Der var alt for meget tid i poolen reserveret til udefra kommende brugere. Ville ønske at der var mere tid reserveret udelukkende til gæster.
Der var var generelt noget køligt i værelse og andre områder. Ville ønske at det var lidt varmere.
Lidt mærkeligt, at man ikke kan komme til hotellet som gående, men kun med DLR eller bil. "

The Barstaff was quite friendly - The reception was kinda arrogant.

But I think they should mention that you could get a room without a window. My friend doesn’t cope well with small spaces and the fact that room didn’t have a window made it harder for her.
