Trethvor House is situated in the quiet area of the beautiful fishing village Padstow, a 5 mins walk into town. The stunning town with its lively harbour, gorgeous shops, quaint streets, cookery schools, art galleries & abundant restaurants is truly a Cornish gem. There is a glorious beach that is in walking distance too & a ferry to Rock, allowing access to Polzeath & Daymer Bay. The house has 2 cats.

1hr to St Ives, 30 mins to Newquay.

There are numerous wonderful eateries in town where guests can have breakfast, with Cherry Trees & Greens being firm favourites.

SOUTH WEST COASTAL PATH
The town in very popular with tourists and with access to the South West Coastal Path there are plenty of keen walkers visiting. There are numerous walks directly from the property to the breath-taking Stepper Point & onwards to the gorgeous beach of Trevone & the Trevose headland.
Buses are available to take you further afield and to walk back if you don't want a circular walk.
Bodmin Moor is also close by which also offers wonderful walking.

BEACHES
Seven Bays for Seven Days - The beautiful beaches of Harlyn Bay, Constantine, Porthcothan , Boobys Bay, Trevone and Treyarnon are close by too.
Polzeath and Daymer Bay and Rock are opposite and are reached by a quick ferry ride over.

CAMEL TRAIL
The property is within walking distance of the popular Camel Bike Trail (a disused railway) where you can cycle from Padstow to Bodmin via Wadebridge. Bikes can be hired at Padstow Bike High (book early).
If you have your own bike you can store it in the garage but there is no insurance and we take no responsibility for the bikes if they are damaged or stolen or the door is not locked.

There are plenty of wineries that are worth visiting. If you don’t want to drive why not book a tour where you will be picked up and dropped off from Padstow

CHRISTMAS IN PADSTOW
Padstow looks so pretty in December with twinkling lights and a beautiful christmas tree, theres a lovely atmosphere in the restaurants and all of the cute shops. Its a great time to come down for a trip.

Padstow Christmas Festival is a wonderful 4 day event hosted by local chefs where you can see numerous cookery demonstration by Rick Stein, Paul Ainsworth and many more. There is a wonderful food tent packed with lots of local delicacies and a craft tent featuring local artists too.
Theres usually a charity Santa fun run / bike ride , fireworks and numerous special events. Its the best time to visit.
