"Good hotel, older 5 star hotel, getting close to needing some updates. Restaurants in the hotel are very good. Staff is experienced and know what it takes to run a good hotel. Smaller rooms but okay for me traveling alone on business. The bed however was very hard, roomkeeping tried to help out making it softer. But the bed was really not to my liking. "

"I've stayed at the Regent in Taipei so trusted it would just as good in Shanghai. Clearly something is missing. Huge shortage of staff in comparision. Not enough at front desk, aside from the environment it is not different than a 2 star motel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful when they have time and get to you. Had to ask reguarly for more coffee and cream in the room. Budget cuts come to mind when these things add up. Staff cuts, skimping on little things like coffee creamers, only...

"Excellent hotel - but food and drinks are really expensive for China..."

"The breakfast buffet was fantastic, but the setup for lunch or dinner was extremely limited, with only a few items on the menu. The lady at the pastry counter seemed to be the only staff member there. I walked around outside for a while but could find no alternative restaurants. The prices for having your laundry done were exorbitant to say the least. The upside was that I found a place nearby that was way more reasonable."

"We booked the elite 4 bedroom apartment, as there was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids each needing space to wind down, originally we were allocated an apartment with only three bedrooms, after letting them know they fixed quite quickly and we were in the correct place by that afternoon, the second location was great, communication was good throughout, Two main issues were it seemed like absolutely no noise was tolerated past 9:30pm, which as a tourist stay doesn’t make a lot of sense, on the first...

"Lots of room, reasonable price, full fridge, washer/dryer, convenient location. Non-English speaking staff. Request your dishes and cookware in advance. Grounds were very nice and clean."

"Conveniently set in the center of Shanghai, Wow in center of Shanghai Town provides air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and free WiFi. Cheap place and safe, save my money. Close to the Metro and easy to go at the Airport by metro; 13$ a night, I save a lot. The staff is very kind and gentle treatment!"
