"On our second evening there was a tsunami evacuation. The staff and manager waited until we were safely on a bus to the evacuation centre. This took some time and they gave us regular updates. When we were allowed to return they offered to collect us or send an uber. Thanks so much. The hotel is quite good. Aircon is a bit noisy but works. Probably the best option in Hilo."

"I loved my room! It was spacious and comfortable, perfect for my needs. This isn’t a modern hotel with tons of amenities, but I found it charming. There was a large bathtub that I enjoyed as well. There is no front desk, but that wasn’t a problem for me. I had text contact if I needed anything."

Man skal selv vaske op efter sig selv og lign. - på den måde minder det meget om et b&b. Jeg synes ikke rigtig det var pengene værd - men på den anden side var der heller ikke så meget andet i nærheden.
Hilo, som er den by der ligger tættest, er ligefør jeg vil frabede folk at bo i. Den er dødsyg og vi følte os faktisk ikke særlig trygge der....

The cabins are super cute, clean, and comfortable. The short path to the lodge with bathrooms is marked by some torches on the ground at night. The sky cleared up in the middle of the night so I could enjoy the stars while walking to the lodge. AMAZING."
