I had to contact the host about 2 hours prior to our arrival as I had not received information on how to reach the location and instructions on how to get in. This should not be listed as a "Farmhouse". We are from the Midwest and my grandparents lived on a farm and there is NOTHING about this house that makes it a farm house. It is not large, it does not have multiple rooms nor any large rooms at all nor is it surrounded by agricultural land. The views you have from all windows is a fence. The rug in the bedroom should be changed or cleaned. It is very dirty.All of the white baseboards in the house are very dirty and should be cleaned.The futon in the open area should be replaced. It is very uncomfortable. You can tell where people have sat on it as there are huge divots in the cushion. I don't think anyone taller than 6 feet could lay on it. It is not comfortable laying or sitting on it. It is low to the ground so this makes it difficult to get up or stand up easily. So possibly not a 3 person sleeping capacity?While cooking breakfast the smoke alarm went off. We had to quickly go buy batteries as there were none in the home. The alarm would chirp so we had to replace the battery. My guess is this was neglected at time change which would have been October.The best thing about this rental is the location. It was close to what we needed it for. Overall, we felt the host is in it to make money and doesn't consider the guest. No contact during our stay.
