"Why do you have to pay extra for wifi, while staying on a 4-star hotel? It should be part of the room pr. definition. Secondly they wanted me to to deposit R100 to use the phone on my room. Do they think I pay R 1500 for a room and the runs from the phonebill? They had my creditcard on file, too."

"The stay was excellent, only the challenge was the TV that was not clear with stars.
The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. The parking was secured and very safe too.
Parking at the bottom where I'm enjoyed park there, due to the pillars the security was thereto assist with the parking and can you imagine that both male and female was helping to park. We're used to male doing that but it was amazing to see a lady helping directing me to park and other members too.

"We were in Joburg to visit family before a flight out to USA. The room was excellent - esp the view across to Little Falls and the city. Best of all they were very accommodating of our need for an extended checkout at a reasonable fee so that we could head tot he airport rested. "

"Good hotel for layovers with bar and restaurant. No check in information was provided, so unclear if they had shuttle service or not. The hotel has a free shuttle, a bit difficult to find as Tambo has the worst signs ever and you have to juggle official and unofficial porters insisting to show you and take your bags, looking for a tip. Once you find the shuttle, everything is smooth sailing. The room could do with a Nespresso machine. Otherwise quite comfortable and bigger than expected. "

Hotel is in good condition, but not really cosy at all.
They could definitely upgrade their outdoor furniture. Everything is hard plastic and not comfortable at all.

Tilsidesat får jeg en taxa og han køre mig til hotellet hvor der ingen respons er jeg er helt alene på gaden i Johannesburg efter dette alle hoteller i lufthavnen er fyldte så jeg er nød til at tilbringe natten foran lufthavnen. "The service at this hotel is completely unacceptable.
At check-in, an employee assisted us with the kiosk system and ultimately asked us to pay, even though we had already paid through Hotels.com. This resulted in us paying twice. When we pointed out the mistake shortly after, we were asked—after some back and forth—to wait until the following morning, as only the manager could handle a refund. Despite the error being on the hotel's part, we received neither a proper apology nor any understanding for the time and money we lost due to exchange rate fluctuations.
The next morning, we got up early to catch the manager and went through several formalities before the amount was finally refunded. As expected, we had lost money due to the exchange rate difference. It’s not the amount that matters, but the principle that the hotel didn’t take proper responsibility, failed to apologize, and provided inadequate service despite the time and money we lost.
An apology and some form of compensation would have been appropriate – instead, we were met with indifference and a lack of understanding."
