"We stayed at the Dogwood Treehouse during the ice storm FERN in January of 2026. We knew going in that there was a chance we could get stuck, but we had been planning this trip for nearly a year and didn’t want to cancel. We don’t get away very often just the two of us, and we’re so glad we didn’t.The cabin was outstanding. It was extremely clean, very well maintained, and thoughtfully stocked. "Absolutely loved this property! We chose this home at Rumbling Bald to accommodate family for our son’s wedding which was onsite. We had 10 adults, an infant, and a dog. The space was perfect. The bottom level was its own private space which was perfect for the family members with the baby. The main level bedroom fit our needs so our elderly parents did not have to climb stairs and the upstairs bedrooms were spacious enough for the rest of the crew. The home was also immaculate and beautiful - beautiful views, bedrooms, lounging areas, and more.
