"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. "少し奥地にはあるが、その分静か。フロント周りの時間は時が止まったかのような、昭和の文豪がゆっくりしているような非常にリラックス出来る。最小人数で営業されているのかスタッフの人はあまり見かけないけど本当にゆっくりできました。 食事（夕食）は絶対につけるべきです。給仕さんがすごく良い方でした。"

We received the best breakfast every morning, it was the best we ever had. We also had dinner there 1 night, and it was such an experience. "Okuhida Hot Spring Hirayukan is conveniently located, just a short and easy walk from the Hirayu Onsen bus terminal. A small shop beside the ryokan sells snacks and drinks, which is useful especially in the quieter evenings. Check in was smooth and the ryokan already had our Expedia reservations. "This hotel is an absolute gem. The rooms are spotless and very large by Japanese standards, the beds are great and we had our own kitchenette and washing machine / dryer. It is located right next to the train station and bus terminal but we weren’t bothered by noise at all. The staff is very kind and went out of their way to help us. Only downside is that it is a ten minute walk from the old city center. "
