We rented this unit hoping to enjoy a special weekend with family while celebrating my son’s wedding. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations, especially considering we paid nearly 3,000 for a Thursday–Sunday stay.Upon entering the home, we found a large water bug in the kitchen area. We took photos but chose not to complain at the time because we did not want something minor to interfere with such an important weekend.Within two days, however, we ran out of both toilet paper and paper towels. We contacted the management team for assistance but received no help. The issue was not simply having to purchase these items ourselves—it was the inconvenience of having to take time away from wedding activities and family to shop for basic supplies that we expected to be adequately provided for the stay.Our final disappointment involved requesting a late checkout. We wanted a little additional time to spend with family at the beach, as many of our relatives were staying at the Odell Williamson family home nearby, the original owner of the entire island. We were informed that the only way to stay later was to pay for an additional full night.For the amount we paid for a three-night stay, we expected better attention to basic necessities, customer service, and some reasonable flexibility. This was an important family weekend, and unfortunately, the management experience added unnecessary frustration to what should have been a relaxing and memorable stay.
