The Pink cottage on West Beach, water front , short walk to beach

  • The Pink Cottage started as a fishing shack in 1955, the year after hurricane Hazel. In 1968 the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom were added. Also the back porch was enclosed and the kitchen was added including a large deck facing the water. In 2021 the shack was completely renovated and became The Pink Cottage. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water was added. The kitchen is fully furnished including a dishwasher. The pink cottage overlooks Montgomery Slough with its tidal creek where at low tide the many species of birds feed, at high tide watch for the dolphins. You may access the Slough at 17th Place West where you can catch your own shrimp, crab, or just explore the marsh with all its abundant life. You can also launch your kayak from this access. You don't have to worry about beach parking - it is just a short walk to the beach.

We enjoyed our weekend and it’s definitely worth a second visit! The dock is great for fishing and kayaking, and John was very welcoming and friendly.

The Pink Cottage was the most amazing place to stay for our sister’s trip! A quiet morning on the back porch with a cup of coffee was the best way to start the day, and the view of the sunset was just as an amazing way to end the day. Sarah and John were extremely welcoming and were very readily available if it were needed. I would definitely recommend the Pink Cottage and I would love to go back for a second visit!

We had a great time at the pink cottage. Spectacular views from the back porch. We saw dolphins come in to feed. House was clean & kitchen supplied with everything you might need. The relaxing beach was beautiful and just steps from house.The hosts John & Sarah were very friendly & informative.

We had an amazing week at The Pink Cottage. The location was perfect. The inside was so cute and very clean when we arrived. We loved just sitting out on the porch in the rocking chairs looking out over the marsh and watching the sun set every afternoon. Mr. John & Mrs. Sarah are very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back

This little place exceeded our expectations! We had a girls weekend and found the place super clean and attention to detail was executed without fail. Perfect view of the marsh and a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed ourselves so much and we would like a return visit hopefully this fall. Cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Pink Cottage. One of our favorite places we have ever stayed. The views are simply amazing and the house was so clean. Everything we needed was stocked and you can tell so much thought was put into this home. Beach access is walking distance right across the street and we found so many great shells. John and Sarah are so sweet and really made sure our stay was great! This is a little slice of heaven and we cannot wait to come back!

The house was absolutely spotless and smelled so clean the entire time we were there. The host was quick to respond and answered all questions. Host thought of every little thing that might be needed while staying and it checked every box. The decorations were so lovely and made the cottage cozy and sweet. The view from the back deck was breathtaking as the sun set, and nights rocking by the water were simply peaceful. We truly didn’t want to leave. Would absolutely stay again and will tell friends. Thank you John and Sarah!

The care and detail that was apparent in the preparation of this home were greatly appreciated! The Pink Cottage was adorable!! So clean and all of the furnishings comfortable and inviting. Loved the decor too! We spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the marsh and watching the tides come and go. Fun to watch Egrets and other birds. So relaxing and peaceful! And the sunsets were amazing!! Short walk to the beach and numerous beach chairs were available.. Plenty of dish-ware and glasses. The shower was wonderful! John & Sarah were perfect hosts! So nice to chat with them both. We will definitely return to the Pink Cottage!

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at the pink cottage. The house has a lot of charm and is decorated beautifully. The view of the waterway from the house is amazing and is only a short walk to the beach. I would definitely book here again!

Wonderful

Our favorite beach house so far. Wonderful private location and beautiful views but very close to the beach. House was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Hosts were lovely and very laid back! Will definitely come back!
