"This was by far our worst experience in Tasmania, and also in all of Australia. We booked a standard cabin for $250 per night, though I am not sure whose “standard” it meets, certainly not ours. While the price matched our 5-star hotel in Hobart, we had obviously lowered expectations knowing Cradle Mountain accommodation is expensive.

"Just an overnight. Really nice quiet place with helpful owner. Huge room and all in excellent condition. 8 min walk to the pub for dinner and the steam railway called Redwater Creek is only a little further away (check running days). Worth coming back."
"A modern hôtel with a great bathroom facilities and a very good bed. The fridge is a little small but not a big issue. The AC was a bit of a mystery with the room warming up during the night - I should have inquired about this occurrence. The food in the restaurant was very good. Avoid the automatic coffee machine at breakfast- not great. Overall, despite the above comments, I was very happy with this hotel."
"Rosevears was a beautiful setting a top the River. The accommodations were satisfactory where the view is the highlight. The reception and dining room is detached from the individual cabins which is a bit of an inconvenience to walk to especially if it's raining, but when the sun is shining the outdoor terrace makes for a most spectacular experience. The staff is so kind and helpful and it is the best place to stay on the river."
