"We knew this place would be amazing based on the pictures, but honestly, they don't do it justice. This home is absolutely beautiful. Between the views and the fully stocked home, the owner's truly thought of everything. Also, the house manager, Alex was extremely friendly and very helpful. While the home is not walkable to a beach, everyday we spent the morning in the pool, then visited one of the many beaches in the area (ranging from 8 mins-1hr drive), then came back in the evening to grill...

"Las Velas Blancas is an amazing gem nestled in Playa Grande! Our group had never been to this part of Costa Rica and the accommodations and location suited us perfectly. The cabanas are close to the surf and the waves were perfect for both beginners and advanced surfers in our group alike. The property manager Sher was an excellent communicator both before and during our stay. "We celebrated my wifes 70th birthday here with friends and family, 15 in all. The positives: The house is lovely.. Beds were comfortable. The wildlife around the house was spectacular. The howler monkees would traipse through the trees in view of the pool area. The iguana ? and birds were also fascinating. The swimming pool was great, although overchlorinated to the point of bleaching hats etc. The golf carts were great to have. The negative: Communication with the owners/managers was horrible....

"This is a great location to stay out of the craziness of Tamarindo. Beware aware that it is not a great swimming beach but we had an awesome stay here. Great for the whole family with amazing views."

"Nice clean pool, house clean but at nights bugs and large flying ants or termites..follow lights through mesh in the partly open air bathrooms. Beach club very nice except for horses poop at the beach. Top end restaurants with good food but expensive. Area has a lot of construction. Felt safe in the area, everyone was professional!"

"My family of six stayed for a week in February. Because of the outdoor space, there was plenty of room for our four teenagers to spread out. My husband and I loved opening the shades in the morning to overlook the patio/pool area. We enjoyed all of the natural light throughout the back of the house and the master bedroom! All of the staff associated with the property were very responsive. We did have several minor issues that needed tending to and each time help was sent within hours. ...

Enestående resort med fantastisk personale

"Som pilot bor jeg på hoteller i hele verden. Dette hotel overraskende virkeligt positivt og er en af de bedste oplevelser jeg har haft. Selve hotellet er lækkert med masser plads, natur og smukke rolige faciliteter. Men det bedste ved stedet er personalet og hvad de er i stand til. Restauranten var hyggelig og jeg kunne sidde her mange timer og nyde udsigten. Maden var velsmagende og flot præcentetet. Personalet synes at kunne efterkomme alle efterspørgselser og foreslog spændende cocktails mm. Selvom det regnede det meste af tiden havde jeg en fantastisk tid og jeg håber meget at få mulig for at komme tilbage. Tak. "
