"This is a very cozy and quiet place in the South Bend area about 10 minutes from Notre Dame. There are horses on property which are nice to look at and thick woods behind. The house is fully loaded with everything you need, towels, pots and pans, cooking utensils, glasses, etc. There is even a grill on the porch. "The location of this house is amazing- the views over the dune and lake, easy quick walk to beach. Loved having the beach chairs for the group and enjoyed the paddle board. Large dining table for group meals. Two fridges accommodated food and drink for the group for the long weekend."

"This historical house was truly a gem! We had a blast spending time here for our daughter's graduation from Indiana Tech. There is plenty of room for everyone, lots of extras throughout this well-kept property, and the owner, Wanda was extremely pleasant and easy to communicate with. "Great house for our group to spend the weekend catching up and relaxing! Really enjoyed the extra bonus of watching three deer in the back yard every morning during breakfast after we enjoying the quick stroll down to the beach."

"We always like to stay at the Blue Gate Inn. The rooms are decorated in country style and roomy. The breakfast is the clincher!!! Personal omelette made to order and abundance of other hot foods. Don’t need to eat again until dinner. If I had to say anything that needs to be approved is the toilet paper!! For as much as we pay I think they can have thicker paper! "

"This property is in a moderately bad area. I was told to stay in the hotel and not walk around and do not go into the nearby mall. The hotel was very clean, the room was huge. Bed and pillows were very comfotable. The night staff at the desk was nasty but the day and afternoon staff were lovely. Food was mediocre at best-glad it was free. Overall ok, but area is dicey. "
