Richards' house has a unique character that transports visitors back to the late 1800s or early 1900s. They've done a wonderful job preserving the place and adding modern amenities that blend seamlessly, making the experience both charming and comfortable."

"The innkeeper was incredible. He was great at communication, and super nice. He sent over instructions to find the inn, and parking ahead of time. He was there to welcome us when we checked in, and offered to help with our luggage. Our room was clean, well decorated and beautiful. We were surrounded by a lot of antiques. "Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. "

"As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily.
