Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience."

"We loved our stay here! It's quiet, located close to Acadia and downtown. It has been updated in a retro decor that was suiting to the property. "Staying here for the second time to visit Acadia NP. Very friendly staff, 24 hour coffee and cookies. Room service is by request once in 3 days, but fresh towels are available if needed daily. Breakfast menu is good with hot sausages, omlettes, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit choices but is the same every day. About 6 miles away from Bar Harbor downtown. The property area is clean with nice flower beds."

"Wow!!!! This hotel is VERY nice!!! I don't know if it is new or just very well kept but it is super clean and very well maintained. Housekeeping has done a fantastic job with everything from bed-making to bathroom cleaning and beyond. It's quiet and the beds and pillows are so comfy. The lady who checked us in was incredibly friendly. She offered us our choice of floors to stay on and everything. We are still here as I write this and seriously the only bad things I can think to say is it smells...
