"Beautiful view and nice area but highly outdated hotel. The rooms are extremely outdated with front doors that has space under and on top for insects to fly through and the bathroom was not clean with dead insects on the floor etc. However, the staff is really nice and the pool is very nice. The restaurant is extremely expensive - almost Swiss prices! We paid 170USD for a lunch and a dinner of simple dishes and one drink each for 2 people. "

"The breakfast was yummy both days that we were there, and the service at the restaurants was top-notch! However, we were disappointed not to have a swimming pool available to use as guests at Santarena Hotel. The rooftop infinity pool was way too small for the number of rooms available. "

"This hotel was very unique and we are so glad that we opted for the oceanfront room. It was quiet (aside from the kids at the pool) and we saw monkeys, birds and iguanas right on the property. Would definitely stay here again. "
