Check in process was very easy, we received instructions via a msg on the hotels.com platform with the address/unit, access code and wifi. I would prefer a text or at least text notification because unless you have the app installed you don’t get notified (only email saying you have one unread msg on the platform). Keep in mind this is more an issue with hotels.com rather than with the host.
The entire house was VERY clean, although there was a bag of garbage left in the garage when we arrived. The kitchen had a great array of utensils and cutlery, glassware, bowls, plates, dish soap, coffee pods, hot choc, sugar etc. Oddly, there was no towel but we grabbed an extra hand towel from one of the bathrooms.
Bathrooms were clean with body wash, shampoo, conditioner and towels all provided. The bedrooms were also clean with comfortable beds and full bedding.
What’s good:
- very clean unit, with all the essentials
- whole house to yourself
- close to the falls, Clifton Hill, the convention centre
- competitive pricing
Downsides/room for improvement:
- missing smoke detector in the kitchen (of all places).
- bedside plugs were inaccessible.
- host communication is lacking, I messaged on the platform AND direct to his number and two days later he still has not responded two days later.
- no checkout instructions.
