Girls bday weekend
6 adult women came to celebrate a milestone bday. Rental had plenty of comfy beds, walking to restaurants, shops, cliff walk and parking for all cars. Owner was responsive and gave spot on recommendations for food and activities.

Great stay in Newport
We had a great stay! We had a short walk to downtown Newport, but were right at the point where it wasn’t loud at night. The parking lot was very, very convenient (parking in Newport is tough) and a huge help for our group. The apartment fit us easily and the common areas feel very spacious. We had a great time!

The location can’t be beat. Parking was convenient and it is close to the mansions. Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the bar next door, but the condo itself was comfortable and well equipped. Owner was great with communication.

Best Spot for a Girls Weekend Out
We had the best time here! The apartment looked just like it did in the listing and having the two bathrooms was perfect for all of the girls to get ready for the night out. The beds were SO comfortable. The owner was super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed and responded quickly and professionally. He also gave great recommendations for things to do in the area. This was the perfect spot for us to get to and from downtown easily. The big, private parking lot was also great because none of us had to worry about where to put our cars. We’re already thinking about coming back for our next girls trip!

Love the free parking. It is a busy street but that's why we stayed in Newport for the nightlife!!!! and let me tell you this place was one of the better places I've stayed in. Loved every minute of it and the free parking was a hit. I would recommend to anyone!!!!

Perfect space at the right price!
The photos were totally accurate of this rental and was a good amount of space for this family of 3. We each had our own bedroom and comfy beds. Was a total plus to have 1.5 baths too. Was a fairly good location at the end of Thames St away from all the shopping and business just know there is a bar across the street that goes late with music but luckily the bedrooms are at the back of the apartment. This is a bare essentials unit, so be sure to bring your own shampoo/bar soap/DW detergent/cleaner, etc. We didnt realize it wasn't stocked like other VRBOs but popped down to the gas station store a block away and filled up. That being said, we were happy to stock up as this unit was HALF THE PRICE of others we looked at. Yes, it's not fancy but HALF THE PRICE people! The owner Chris was totally awesome in communication and helpful with places to eat and things to do. Bonus, there is a HUGE parking lot all to yourself to fit multiple cars. We loved walking everywhere to the shops, restaurants and mansions. When it rained we easily got an Uber. Highly recommend!

Great access to downtown
Pros: lots of beds, lots of parking, easy walk to everything downtown. You can walk to restaurants, shopping, mansions, and the cliff walk. Cons: the apartment is right across the street from a bar with a very active night scene, so if you want peace a quiet this might not be your spot. Either Sunday or Monday night of our stay a gentleman with a saxophone was kicked out of the bar across the street after midnight, and protested this fact by playing Careless Whisper under our window until the cops showed up. We found this very entertaining and hilarious, but understand others might not. The only other issue we had was with one of the toilets running occasionally after being flushed. But overall we had a great stay, it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of location, parking, and having beds for all of us.

Our host communicated early and provided a smooth check in! There’s plenty of room in the apartment and the location was very convenient to shops, restaurants and the mansions! Parking was also very convenient!

Just ok
First, I will say that the property was clean, the owner was very easy to communicate with and the location was within walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Also, having the parking spaces was a huge plus! The unit is across from a bar that has live music which you can hear in the apartment. Also the street noise itself can be loud. (If people are standing on the sidewalk talking, you can hear their conversation). There is nothing that can be done about this, just something renters should be aware of. The apartment itself could use be some improvements. The rug going up the stairs smells musty and looks dirty. Some hangers in the closets would be nice (each closet had only 2 or 3 wire hangers). The dresser drawers in the bedroom with the bunk beds fall out the minute you open them. The bedroom door doesn’t close unless you slam it. The doors all need some wd40 so they don’t squeak. Curtains in the bedrooms would help keep the sun out in the morning (sound blocking curtain May also help with the street noise).

This unit was listed as "recently remodeled". I would say it was recently "redecorated". Not at all unpleasant, just a little shabby. The WiFi is poor.

Sorry to hear this, we are premier property members with VRBO and I stand by my 84 excellent reviews. We make sure the property is immaculate upon check-in, next time call me if this happens, it is a simple 5 minute swifter fix!!!

Overall, a good experience! Dealing with the owner was easy - he was very responsive to questions and inquiries. This property is just in the right location - Close to the action, but far enough away too. It was a quiet area. The parking spot is a major plus as parking is very difficult to come by. Although not really advertised, the property has 1 main bathroom and then a second room with just a toilet. There was plenty of space for 5 people. The air conditioning in all rooms, except 1 bedroom, was a plus - it can get hot in Newport. It is close to a nice coffee and pastry shop. There stairs up to the property can be a bit difficult for elderly guests. Only downside was that the WiFi did not work during our stay. But, there was strong cell phone signal. A nice property!

Great location!
This place has such a great location right on Thames Street, with parking included - both aspects you just can't beat. The space was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were enough towels and cooking supplies for our group of 7. Overall, it was perfect for our stay and I'd recommend it to others going to Newport!

I was initially impressed with the pictures inside. No pictures of outside. Area OK but at end of Thames. Aside from bed sheet issue, house was clean.

Hi Cheryl, I wanted to take the time to respond to this review in particular, as I don't believe the picture you're painting of our Newporter is accurate. While accommodating your four hour early check-in (which we rarely allow), one of my housekeeping staff used a wrinkled (but completely clean) bedsheet that my co-owner and wife changed within the first hour, while profusely apologizing to you and your guests. As you can see by our other wonderful reviews, this has never happened before and only occurred due to the early check-in, where our staff was unable to confirm that the complex was in tip-top shape. Regardless, I can say in 100% confidence that the beds were clean, albeit wrinkled. The dishwasher soap was underneath the sink in the cabinet, sitting there with our extra paper towel and trash bags. We have enough dish soap down there to clean up all of Newport! There is nothing I am more confident in than our location on Thames. There is no residential plot in Upper Thames due to it being solely restaurants and city life, but our property is armed with private parking (most likely the rarest part of a VRBO in Newport) and a distance less than a ten minute walk from all that Thames has to offer! I apologize if the walk was not ideal for you, but I know that it will be seen as a smart alternative for those who don't want to pay for parking in the city. I'm disappointed to receive this review from a client who I believed that we successfully accommodated with re-bookings and early check-ins. I hope this response can add more clarity to future travelers, and an understanding that this is not a true depiction of our lovely Newporter! Our housekeepers have never had an issue before, and it is unfortunate that a review riddled with falsities like this can tarnish their reputation. I hope this response can do them justice! Great Location, walking distance to everything (restaurants, mansions etc.) Convenient parking right next to the property which made our trip that much more enjoyable. A couple of my friends and I rented this property for the New Years Eve weekend, the place was very spacious and clean. It’s located right on Thames st. And there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The property manager was easy to contact and was very nice. I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

This apartment is absolutely gorgeous and spacious for friends to hang out and cook. The check in process was easy and we got a great tour of the place. There’s a lot that we were able to park in plus street parking if we needed it. On the fridge, the owners were kind enough to leave detailed instructions for our stay as well as points of interest in Newport! I’d definitely come back in the future and recommend this for any group of friends/families who might like a stay in Newport.

Wonderful Newport location
Up just one flight of stairs, the unit is an entire floor, with a spacious and comfortable common room and kitchen with open floor plan. Very comfortable. And the location can't be beat if you don't mind walking 15-20 minutes into the main restaurant district, without the hassle of staying right in the congested heart of town. Having an off-street parking spot was very helpful. The only complaint: The owner uses a lot of air freshener, which is not our style, but perhaps others like it.

Great Place, Great Lovation

This property is great! It's clean and well maintained and in an excellent location, an easy walk to the highlights of Thames St but on a quieter block with a little less traffic. The owners are very friendly and helpful and were available to text anytime with questions or for entertainment recommendations.
