"Our group was four friends from a TU chapter in the Chicago area, coming to the area to do a conservation project near Freeport. We stayed at the house to fish the Rogue River over the weekend. The house was perfect for our group."

"Cozy cabin on small quiet lake. Didnt get any bites on our fishing lines, but enjoyed canoeing and being on water. Also enjoyed the trails near by, and the quaint eateries about 20 minutes away."

"We are from the South part of Michigan and we had a graduate from Baker College. We were able to get to Trinity Health Arena in around 20 minutes. Enjoyed the entire stay. Kids had plenty to do, and the adults really enjoyed the deck area. Would love to return for another stay when we all have more time to enjoy the activities in the area."

"Clean and spacious. Lots of games and things to do both inside and outside. It would have been nice to have a queen sized bed downstairs but we managed. "We’ve stayed at this property three years in a row, and we are planning to return! The kitchen is well stocked and it’s easy to cook meals in during your stay. The young ones in our group appreciate the outdoor play set, popcorn machine, and the air hockey table. The grill, kayaks, fire pit, and ample space to spread out are also appreciated. It’s evident that the owners consider small details, but they also continue to add impressive touches year after year. Thank you for another great stay!"

"Pictures really dont do the scenery justice. The house itself was beautiful as well. The kids really enjoyed the game room on the lower level. Had issues with the VRBO app, which wouldnt allow me to respond to messages, so hopefully the owners see this so they know how much we enjoyed our stay! Will be back in the future when rhe weather is warmer to utilize the lake!"

"This is a perfect place for vacation. The house is fully furnished and full supply inside, with many decorated pictures and deer statues make us feel like living in our home. Environment area are quiet and clean, Host is just across the street and provide help if needed instantly. This give another point. We would come back if there is a chance and also strongly recommend to others."

"The pictures do not do it justice! We were just slightly early for the fall color change but the lake, the calmness, and the solitude was everything we were looking for. The house was immaculate, and everything we needed was within reach of wherever we needed it. Highly recommended!"

"The property is wonderful lots of extras besides the cabin itself eg. Kayaks ,waterfront ,bikes ,cornhole,ect. The host is very easy to work with just leave things how you found them. I went with my wife and 3 week son and our doggo, And mind you it was cold snowing and raining and we still loved it. We will definitely be back. 5 stars 🌟 10/10 thank you guys from the pauwels family sorry we were a little late checking out 🙂"
