Extremely Disappointing and Misleading Property
I booked this property for five members of my family for four days during the New Year holidays, expecting a comfortable vacation stay. Instead, it turned into the worst accommodation experience of our lives. I relied completely on the qualities and photos presented on Expedia, but the listing was totally misleading and did not reflect reality at all.
As soon as we arrived, we were shocked to see the pathetic condition of both the building and the room. The entire place was extremely dirty. The carpets were filthy, the mattresses were very old and smelly, and the beds and foam cushions were worn out with a terrible odor. The washroom was in such an unhygienic state that it was practically unusable.
The kitchen was equipped with very old appliances and dirty towels. Towels provided by the owner were so dirty that we could not even think of using them. The bathtub curtain was broken, and suddenly came off and hit my child on the head while bathing, it almost injured my kid seriously. This was a major safety hazard. The washroom overall was unsafe for children.
Another serious issue was that although a fridge was technically “provided,” it was a SHARED fridge being used by other people living on the same floor. This was never mentioned in the Expedia description. There were several other guests or tenants living on the same floor in different rooms, which again was not disclosed.
