Little Slice of Heaven on Kentucky Lake

On Kentucky Lake has dock, with jet ski ramps (need to watch water levels in winter months) the public boat ramp is Boyds Branch approx 1/8 mile from house. House has a Den / Game Room downstairs with Pool Table, Table Tennis (Ping Pong) Large Screen TV for your gaming consoles. Will sleep 7 with 2 on the futon, 1 or two children on the day bed, and 2 on each of the queen beds in each bedroom. Large open floor plan. House has approx 2,800 sq ft.. Central A/C. Large Kitchen area will seat 8 with the island. Table has 4 seats and Island has 4. Open to living room. Upgraded kitchen and outdoor enclosed porch! Professionally decorated !
Deck has a nice view of Lake, as does the sun room screened in porch with fireplace . It sits on a dead end street private large lot. Each room (not bedroom) has access to outside decks. NO PETS!!

Tom was excellent about communication. There are so many extras added to this home to make it easy to just bring your suitcase and stay. There are toys, tons of games, a really well stocked kitchen, and lots of seating.

Feels like home and lots of room to roam

Our family loved our stay here! The inside of the home was super cute, comfy, cozy and well equipped. I love when rentals come with all the little “extras” that make your stay more comfortable and easy. Fully stocked kitchen, including all the pots and pans needed, paper towels, spices, coffee filters, wine opener, etc., lots of blankets and pillows available everywhere, board games, fold out chairs, etc. All that extra stuff just makes the stay comfortable and nice and makes it so you don’t have to run out and buy all of it. Plus the pool table and ping pong table were really fun for our family. It was also nicely decorated. Some stuff was older but honestly I liked that part. Made me feel like I was staying in a well-loved home. But the best part was all the outdoor space and the covered boat dock. It is in great condition which was perfect for fishing and keeping our boat dry when it rained. There’s also a boat launch literally one road over on that was super convenient. The only lookouts I have, and I wouldn’t even say cons, are that it is in a pretty remote location so there is no easy access to supplies. There is a Dollar General about 15 minutes up the road but no gas stations, restaurants, etc. within a less than 30 minute drive. Also, we pulled a boat there and navigating/turning around by the house was doable but tricky. Overall we loved the stay and would 100% come back!

Hideaway at Kentucky Lake

Great owner and great accommodations for the BASSMASTER Open first week in March. Located on a dead end street, we never had to worry about gear being tampered with and home had all amenities needed to make our week one where by the time it was midweek we would be heading “Home”. Tom is top notch answered all our questions and this one was 10 out of 10 for us ! Would absolutely stay again !!

perfect lakeside location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was set up perfectly for a family with children! the covered dock was perfect for docking our boat as well as our kayaks and also provided an excellent spot for fishing! Cabin was clean and very well stocked, kids loved the pool table and the ping pong table!

Excellent Property and Stay

We've stayed at this property a few times. Never disappoints. Boat ramp is so close, the walk to the dock is easy and isn't steep. The house is appointed with everything you may need. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Rooms are spacious, the basement is an added bonus for the adult kids. We will certainly rent again. Thanks Tom for your hospitality.

In spite of storms and no electricity the last two days, it was a wonderful stay. Short walk to the private boat dock, jet ski pads, lovely well-equipped house. Will definitely return!

Last summer hurrah

Loved this delightful cottage on the Lake! Home was very comfortable with pool table, ping pong, fire pit, and a beautiful dock to keep our entire family occupied and entertained. Decorated so nicely and everything inside was such nice quality. Owner was super-helpful with boat rental recommendation and listing nearby restaurants. Peaceful and quiet with beautiful forested surroundings. Wonderful stay!

Time well spent

Supplied everything we could have possibly needed. Clean, very nicely decorated. Pool table was enjoyed immensely. Enough room for everybody to spread out—in fact we never used 2 rooms above stairs..short walk to very nice dock. Rented pontoon with slide on top and we had a blast! Will return!!

Summer 2023

Thank you for the relaxing - peaceful week on the lake. Pier was perfect for the boat, fishing, and afternoon floating. Close to Marina for gas, and paddle board rentals. Lake had minimal boat traffic - perfect for tube pulling with our grandsons. Highly recommended if you want seclusion and quiet.

Great Place To Stay

This was our second stay here. We absolutely love the house and all the amenities offered. Everything is in the home that you will need. The dock is amazing and just a short walk from the house. Boat launch is super close. It's a wonderful property to relax and enjoy the Lake. Thanks again for everything!

Great 3 night getaway!

Nicely remodeled home with all the amenities you may need. Outside deck with lake view is the place to be! Weather was mild and breezes off the water made sitting on the swing by the lake with a book a perfect way to relax in the afternoon, too! Kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms nice and clean and we even played pool. Would definitely consider a return trip!

Spring 2023

House was very clean, up to date and stocked with all we needed to enjoy our stay. Our focus was on the lake and fishing. The boat deck was in great condition. Water depth was 5 feet at the dock with lake level at 359 feet. We kept our boat in water for the 5 days we were there. No electric at dock for charging. I ran 450 feet of cord from house and worked out just fine. Boyd's boat ramp is 100 yds away from dock and a very short drive by truck. Ramp is concrete and drops of quick for easy boat launch. Ramp has a dock with tires attached for boat tie off. Parking was a little tight but doable for truck trailer turn around at the house. Owner is top notch host. He responded immediately when contacted and was on top of everything. Over all a great place to stay.

Such a great property!!

My family of five had a blast at this wonderful home. The ping pong table and pool table kept the kids entertained. The Wi-Fi was great. The cutlery was great for meal prep, which is not always the case at VRBOs. The dock was in great condition for our boat all weekend long. The access to the boat ramp was ideal. I highly recommend this property!

Perfect for quality family time

Lovely home for a peaceful getaway

Tom’s home on Kentucky Lake was a beautiful place to find a peaceful respite and solitude. I wanted to comment on reviews I read that were not what I experienced when I arrived. Someone said it was at the end of maintained roads. Maybe they were from “the city,” but there is two-lane paved road all the way up to the turn into the “neighborhood” where it is still asphalt road in good condition. Someone also said the path to the lake was not maintained. I don’t know how it could be better maintained unless someone wanted a wooden or paved walkway through the woods. We were able to easily walk down the clear path from the house to the dock. It is a gravel path but easy to see and walk. Coffee or wine on the dock was a daily pleasure! Things to note: 1. There’s no ladder at the dock. That would have been helpful as we had tubes to float around and we (45-55 year old females) found it a little challenging to get back up on the dock. 2. There are two full bathrooms in the house. One is on the bottom floor and one is on the top floor. This wasn’t an issue for us as it ended up being two females and we shared the main floor bathroom, if needed. However, if our husbands had come as originally planned, it would’ve been a little more awkward as both of the main bedrooms are on the top floor. There was also no Murphy bed, as stated, but a full-size futon was downstairs. 3. Spices and basic kitchen necessities were well stocked and appreciated. We got groceries on our way to the house and also went into Murray for dinner at The Keg one night. We also enjoyed the drive through the Land Between the Lakes and a nice dinner at Patti’s Settlement.

Great Trip for the Holiday

The home is exactly as described. Plenty of room for our family. The teenagers loved having the basement all to themselves. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is stocked with everything you possibly need during your stay. Boat dock is just a short walk and we enjoyed our time on the water. Boat launch is so close as well. Overall a great home with all the amenities you'll need.

Perfect House

This house is great. Our family loved it. The way it is set up allows for everyone to have space or hang out together in comfort. I enjoyed the sun room and the peaceful dock in the mornings. We all played the bingo game there in the game room downstairs. When it comes to family time, two bathrooms is clutch :) The kitchen is open and well appointed and stocked. The path to the dock was easy enough and the kids had a blast swimming all day. We rented a pontoon boat with slides locally and it was great being able to dock on our own private spot and grab lunch at home. We utilized the BBQ's and they already had propane. There was soap for the laundry, bathroom stuff, paper towels and other items no brings with them on vacation, which was nice. The directions were simple, the code worked the first time and the owner replied quickly to all questions. The store really wasn't that far, maybe 20 mins. I'm so happy to have found this spot, we will definately be back!
