Vejr: Mange mennesker anser Costa Del Sol for at have det bedste klima i det europæiske fastland. I gennemsnit over 320 solskinsdage om året. Ikke for varmt om sommeren [når andre dele af Med overstiger 38oC]. Og varmere sunnere og tørrere om vinteren [når det meste af Europa er under frysepunktet, vil det varmeste sted sandsynligvis være Costa Del Sol. Jan vikarer midten af 60'erne]. Nerja har dog et endnu bedre klima end resten af kysten. Det har sit eget mikroklima som et resultat af den beskyttede bugt og bjergene direkte bagved. El Capistrano Playa i sig selv er meget beskyttet. Der er næsten altid en afkøling brise i sommermånederne, og de lavere terrasser i lejligheden er dejlig og beskyttet til solbadning, selv i januar. Der er et lokalt ordsprog, der godt beskriver klimaet, 'solen tilbringer vinteren i Nerja og brisen tilbringer sommeren'.

Spectacular View - Great Apartment

We have been holidaying around The Med for 25 years and this is easily the best appointed apartment we have stayed at. The view is spectacular. Engagement with Emma before our stay was prompt, helpful and very much appreciated. The apartment itself provided a very comfortable stay. The decor was fresh and bright and everything worked. The terraces were excellent, although one small suggestion would be to put a smaller table in the lower terrace to free up some room around the space. The steep walk down to the beach, through the well maintained, beautifully manicured landscaping of Capistrano Playa, was very pleasant. The climb back up is a time to consider the level of your fitness and how much you value that view. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay at the apartment and would hope to return soon.

Relaxing break

Lovely little apartment for 2. Great location with wonderful views, good balcony and roof terrace, on a pretty complex with beautiful gardens and not overlooked. Nice walk to Burriana beach through the complex and about 20 minutes to Nerja and a short drive to Frigiliana. We would definitely return to this apartment. Would definitely return.

Fantastic apartment with fantastic views. Only down is that the washing machine is on the top level and if you don't like heights may be a problem. Great liaison with Emma the owner who was helpful at all times. Took us a while to work out the bus into Burriana/Nerja but stops just next to the rubbish bins 2 mins walk from the apt and runs regularly but not between 2-5pm presumably because of siesta time! The walk to Burriana is lovely through the gardens and most of it is private. Supermarket is 15 min walk away - they do deliveries but it appears that you have to shop in store and they deliver the following day. Didn't try it so can't comment on reliability. Overall though fantastic place to stay - the pool is a 1 min walk and if you fancy a coffee before they open at 10am the cafe attached just around the corner is open earlier!

Wonderful Stay in Nerja

We loved this property and the 5 day stay in Nerja. This penthouse has an almost unobstructed180 degree view of the Mediterranean Sea and we loved sitting on the deck and just looking. The one-bedroom apartment is smallish as indicated in the photos, but plenty of room for two people and we did not feel crowded at all. The apartment was very clean, the linens and sheets were good and the bed was comfortable. There are a lot of steps to get down to the beach below, but we made the trip a least twice a day and it was easy. The beach is directly below the complex (Capistrano Playa) and has a lot of good restaurants, bars and little shops. The penthouse is well appointed and quite modern (recently remodeled?). We loved our stay in this Penthouse and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Best View In The Complex

We really enjoyed our stay at Capistrano Playa. What we loved: -the view is the best in the complex. Morning sun on the two balconies and afternoon sun on the roof balcony. Many units have either morning or afternoon sun. This unit has both given its unique location. -location close to Burriana Beach and Old Town Nerja is great. Many have commented about the number of stairs up from the beach; yes, this could be an issue for some. We didn’t mind and enjoyed the climb up through the tropical gardens and waterfall. -parking was always available outside our door but we were there in November and this might be more of an issue in peak season. -the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. These are 2 key issues that are most important to us. -a small item we appreciated was the Bose Bluetooth speaker for playing music. -the kitchen had everything we needed for eating in, which we did quite often over our 3 week stay. -the roof deck washing machine and drying rack worked well and are essential for a 3 week stay. Things that could be improved: -the table on the balcony is too large for the space and could use one more comfortable chair. -the drip coffee maker doesn’t work very well but we preferred the French Press that was provided. -if you like to watch TV you may find the very small TV and sound quality an issue. Emma was an excellent host who responded immediately to any inquiries. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed our stay at No.522. The views are amazing and the place is very thoughtfully and stylishly equipped. The walk down to the seafront was unexpectedly beautiful thro the well kept and beautifully stocked gardens. Taking the 199 steps at least once a day ensured we stayed active inbeteeen enjoying the lovely food and drinks available along the ‘strip’. Communication with Emma was excellent, very helpful. I would say that unless a lot of steps are a problem, or you want to sit and watch tv, you would struggle to find a nicer, better value place for a couple to stay in Nerja. Would certainly stay here again should we return to the area.

Fabulous. Highly recommended!

A perfect apartment for two. The views over the Med are amazing. The apartment has everything you need, and we cooked a few times (10 minute walk to the nearest Mercadona and there is a wheelie shopping bag in the apartment to help). Two verandas - if you are sun worshipers the upper one is amazing, and has views to the mountains and the sea. We were glad of the two sunshades! We rarely used the air con as the overhead fan and gentle breeze from the open door in the bedroom was enough. The communal pool area was great. It never got too busy and there is shade, sun loungers (4€) and a snack bar too. The whole complex is very well maintained, and the gardens are particularly beautiful. The walk down and up the steps to the Burriana Beach is worth the effort, but as an overweight, menopausal woman, I saw it as a challenge rather than off putting. I’m not going to lie, it is hard, but well worth it for the beach and great restaurants. Takes about 10 minutes to get back up. 15 mins to walk into beautiful Nerja. Our communication with Emma the owner was great and she was very helpful.

Fabulous apartment, great location

This is a lovely little apartment, well furnished, spotlessly clean with a great view over the sea. It’s a 10 minute walk to Burriana beach and all the bars & restaurants (quite a steep climb back up!) and a 30 second walk to the pool where there are sun loungers, bar and cafe. The owner is very responsive and happy to answer any queries. Would highly recommend, perfect for a couple.

Great apartment, great location

Fantastic penthouse property on a nice complex, the only property not overlooked. We couldn’t find the BBQ that was listed but we decided to eat out every night, so it wasn’t a problem. It’s around 250 steps down to the beach, which would be difficult if not mobile, but was a great bit of exercise for us. To walk into the old town, you also need to go down the steps then up a hill, it’s a good walk after a meal and some drinks. The property did not feel as clean as you would like but we put everything into the dishwasher and had a quick wipe around, I do not think the apartment had been used for a while, so it was not a problem. Overall a great stay, fantastic property in a great location, not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Great apartment with amazing views

We have been to Nerja many times and this is the best apartment we have stayed in. The apartment looks exactly like the photos and was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked really well (although there was usually a breeze through the apartment and we never needed to use the air conditioning in the living room). The two terraces are the highlight of the apartment - very private and quiet with the most amazing views of the sea and mountains. It was always possible to get shade on the lower terrace (necessary in August!) and the upper terrace had sun all day - it would be fantastic in winter. We really enjoyed the walk into town, down through the landscaped gardens and then up the Burriana hill - it took about 20 minutes but was very manageable, even in the August heat. This will be at the top of our list of places to stay the next time we’re in Nerja (and we were very disappointed to see it’s not available in January!)

Klein maar meer dan prima appartement. Een goed bed, prima badkamer en zalig uitzicht vanaf de terrassen. Een probleem werd meteen opgelost door de verhuurster. We kijken terug op een fijne vakantie!

Absolutely fabulous hideaway!!!

This Fabulous apartment is absolutely perfect for proper relaxation!! You can sit on One of The wonderful Terraces and read in peace and quiet or sit and people watch!!! So difficult to tear yourself away from The amazing view!!Will definitely book to go again!!! Absolute perfection!!!

Perfect apartment, views to die for!

Stayed in the apartment for 1 week end of August. Can’t fault the apartment itself, simple, modern decor, good appliances, clean and comfortable bed. Air con excellent. Views from both the balcony and the roof terrace were second to none! Even photos don’t do them justice. Full sea views from balcony including bedroom sea views which also has a Juliet balcony and wrap around mountain views and sea views as well from the roof terrace. Comfortable large sun beds x2 on roof terrace. Proper sun trap and very private (not all the apartments had this luxury and others were over looked but ours was the highest so nice and private) Only negative was the very steep trek down to the beach each time. The views are worth it but the steep steps (even with the lift that takes you half way down) were extremely tiring. We are 29 & 31 yrs old, healthy non smokers and we found it tough so if you have difficulty with fitness/steps and don’t intend to hire a car to go down to the beach this may be something to consider. The walk down/up, although tough is still beautiful with a lovely lake and water fountain and white washed buildings to wander through on route. The pool however is a 30 second walk from the apartment and is beautiful. It has a seperate children’s pool and has 2 snack bars and plenty of sun beds that you can hire for 3.50 euros a day. The beach is nice but busy as was peak season (with lots of water sports etc if you have children and like that sort of thing on your hols) quite a few bars and restaurants on burriana beach but we found it a little Brit’s abroad in parts :/ however it’such mote traditional in the old town. The old town is only a 15 min walk away and really recommend it! Beautiful with lots of bars and restaurants and viewing points. Recommendations: Copa Vino in old town - fine dining but not snobbish. Delicious food and wine. Went twice, by far the best food and service on our trip! Raw on burriana beach - tapas was beautiful, good service and good value for money. Yuu Taley - Thai restaurant on burriana beach - pricier than other restaurants but enjoyed a lovely meal here on our last night with great service. Buddha cocktail lounge - in old town roof terrace servin lush cocktails nice modern bar playing good music, went numerous times! As long as you’re aware of the steep hill and are prepared for this then you will LOVE this apartment. Communication with the owner was also very good.
