Overall our stay was good. Only rating three stars because a hot tub was listed in the amenities, but wasn’t at the house. When I asked the owner about it; they said it was at a different property and “sorry you misread the listing.” As you can see, I did not misread the listing because it is still listed in the amenities. And; both garbage cans were full when we checked in leaving us hardly any room to throw away our garbage.

Great getaway for a group

We had a friend group stay here over a long weekend. We had 5 adults and 6 kiddos in total. Felt like staying at a family cabin or grandma’s house. Plenty of space to run around. Great fishing off the dock. Everyone was happy. It was stocked with plenty of dishes, towels, linens.

Had a great time

We all had a great stay and had a ton of fun on the grounds outside! Nearly everything was as expected from the listing! The only little gotcha was that I made an assumption that the grill was a gas one, and it was charcoal. So had to go and buy some. But other than that it was an excellent stay! Thanks for having us!

Beautiful place with beautiful view

It was a beautiful place. Being on the river also made that so. Enjoyed the house because it was really nicely decorated and clean. It was well stocked. Kitchen had all you need to cook and bathroom well equipped. Amazed that towels and bed linens were top rate! Front porch was great to eat meals because of the view. But also ate outside. Had everything we needed out there. Also fire pit was super. So enjoyed that!

Perfecf getaway!

We had a fabulous experience here! The owner checked in daily and was super responsive to any questions we had. Many amenities, provided all the basics essentials! Great fishing right off the dock, great area to put your boat in and not far was a sand bar and even an awesome playground with a beach for the kids. Tucked away in a nice secluded area, tons of space to play and park with a great bonfire pit and area. Really had everything and was great for all ages!

4th of July 2024

We had a wonderful time! Our family enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July at this property. Even though it rained, there was more than enough space indoors for playing games and being together. Two large tables with plenty of seating. House was clean, well stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of places to sleep, beds were very comfortable. My neice and nephew had fun fishing in the trout pond. Yard and outdoor space was spectacular. Tiki bar across the river was a big hit! John, the owner was very responsive, answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The firework show at the tiki bar was spectacular! We had the best view on the whole river. We will definitely be back! This property was wonderful, definitely a 10/10 rating!

Review

We were for the most part very happy with the property. The location is beautiful, the grounds accommodated our various activities, and the large tables were great for the board games we played. However, there were two disappointments. First, the property was advertised as having a hot tub, and the rules left at the property indicated that we were not to take glass in the hot tub, but there in fact was no hot tub. The hot tub was not really a big deal, but the property was also advertised as having 5 bedrooms. This was important to us, and we were disappointed to find that, while there were many foldout couches and futons in various rooms, there were in fact only three bedrooms. Had we know this, we would not have rented the property.

Family Fun!!!

Family came together to enjoy the trails. A little ways from loop trails but easy to get to. This property was big enough for us to enjoy each other without being on top of each other. My little one and i slept on the 4 seasons porch. We loved it. A home away from home. Everything you need and then some! The kiddos enjoyed getting in the water right next to the property and lake Arbutus beach (5 min drive). Great property!

A Good Time was had by All

We had a great time. We loved the house. It has a great kitchen, living room and enclosed front porch. The downstairs bathroom was nice too. There is also a super nice dining room. The location could not be better. My favorite part was the 180-degree view out the enclosed porch windows at the Black River. We loved taking our boat on the river a half mile to Lake Arbutus. The lake is fantastic. We also enjoyed the firepit in the front yard overlooking the Black River. The one problem we had is we have 11 family members. The three bedrooms upstairs were fine, but the rest of us had to sleep on sofas and futons downstairs in the living room and enclosed front porch. It says the house sleeps 13, but only 7 have beds iin bedrooms upstairs. Also, it is not so toddler friendly or senior friendly with open stairs without rails to hang onto. We had a great time and enjoyed the house. It is very clean and the location could not be better. We would recommend this house to other families looking to have fun on the lake and staying in a comfortable home.

Family together time

Place was everything we needed for our group of 10 people. There was nothing at all missing. Beds extremely comfortable. Property and land beautiful. Especially happy about being able to bring my dogs with. John and julia the owners were so helpful and so friendly....i will rent from them again

Spontaneous UTV trip

This place was very peaceful! After long days of riding, coming back to the quietness and very well stocked house was great! 3 adults stayed and had zero issues with water or water pressure. The home is well stocked with about anything one would need. So much character in the house...it was great! The host was friendly and very helpful with the questions we had about routes and best places to eat, drink, ect..We would absolutely stay here again!

Great Family Getaway

Great family UTV vacation! We had three families of 4 stay, all adults had their own rooms and kids just spread out through out the living room and porch. There is a short ride on the roads to get to the trails but they are accessible right from the house, it was very nice having all the open space to park trucks and trailers. The kids did swim right off of the dock but I would recommend bringing water shoes for them as it is very rocky. The beach in Hatfield was very nice for a day trip of swimming! We did have a couple minor set backs at the house considering it is the first year being rented out but John was VERY responsive and took great care of us.

Great retreat!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kraemer's Resort. The cabin was newly updated, but still had rustic charm which we appreciated. Everything was fully stocked and ready for our families four wheeling trip. We were able to enjoy the river out front by swimming and fishing and just enjoying the scenery. The owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable in more ways than one. We will be back!
