"We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous."

"Lovely staff who were really helpful. My booking conformation said "Pay at Hotel" on it but the manager spotted I had already paid at the point of booking and refunded me due to Expedia's mistake. Despite being in a busy pub, the room was quiet and everything was clean and worked properly. "
"Lovely place, easy to find and parking was easy with just a short walk - the room was lovely, as were the staff and breakfast! Unfortunately I had a bit of a rough night as although I was placed into room 8 which was advised as one of the quieter rooms (I couldn’t hear the road or trains or anything in this room) a neighbour/other guest upstairs was making lots of noise into the night which I appreciate the hosts cannot necessarily help"
"Having been to a golden wedding celebration at Downton Old lodge, we needed a place for an overnight stay. The Loin was perfect. Lovely old beams, comfortable room with super bathroom, good food and pleasant staff. My choice gave me a lot of brownie points from my wife!"

Sadly due to the age of the building we could here guests in other rooms, due to the squeaking floor boards in our room and other guests room, there was a point during the night we felt like guests where in our room when walking around upstairs.
