"We spent 5 days at this beautiful resort. Everything is as pictured. Very luxurious. Valet service is offered if needed, and the guys are pretty amazing, Luke especially. The view from the dining veranda is breathtaking. We ate breakfast there every morning by the pool, everything was fresh and flavorful. We loved Lidienne, McKennly, Niteisha, and the young Gabrielle. They were awesome! They went above and beyond, every time. Our party rented a cabana by the pool, it was clean, cool, and cozy....
"Ambiance of the property. The proximity to beach. Water pressure in the room was great. The staff was respectful. It was very clean and quaint. Our room was perfect. We were downstairs by the pool. The room was large and we made ourselves at home.

"Loved staying here. The Villa, the outdoor areas at the hotel, the restaurants... everything was very nice.
We loved that the Villa had rinse tanks for scuba gear.
Only complaint: why put a tiny 0,7 liter electric kettle in a house, that is meant for 8 people? "

"Fik en noget overfladisk velkomst. Der blev oplyst at det var vigtigt at man laaste begge laase til vaerelset, men laasen paa haandtaget var meget svaer at indstille. Laasen var tydeligt klar til udskiftning. Medarbejderne blev foerst "smilende" i loebet af opholdet. Morgenmaden som vi fik en voucher til paa den naerliggende bistro "Pelican" var ikke en rigtig morgenmad. "Hotellet har et fantastisk køkken på højt niveau. Høj service og venlig atmosfære. Værelset vi havde, var godt med stor balkon ud til bugten. Hotellet ligger lige ud til strand. Minus siden er et massivt niveau af krydstogts turister, fra 4-5 store ankomster dagligt. Der er således ufatteligt mange, ofte halvfulde hollændere og amerikanere, som fester til høj musik, både på stranden og i caféerne. Ikke umiddelbart et børnested."

If you have a rental car, you'll need local coins. There are parking meters in the area near the hotel, and the hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There's a Flowbird app, but we couldn't get it to work. An additional note: you can deposit money (1 florin per hour), and you can deposit it the day before, so you don't have to go before 8 a.m. to add coins.

"This was our 3. stay and it has totally CHANGED. We got a room smelling so bad of smoking and no excuse. The location is FANTASTIC by the beach and the smiling girl at the restaurant at night are wonderful. But the staff manager she is full of stories. We bought friends from Europe this time and they were treated so bad-like running after them at the beach with the bill for drinks they already had payed to another waiter. We paid a bill and and then they charged the same bill with our friends...
"The apartment was luxurious and spacious, very well equipped. The fridge in the kitchen even has an icemaker. The water has improved vastly in St. Martin in recent years, and we had no issues drinking the tab water or using ice cubes from the ice maker at this hotel. The large balcony is where we spent most of our time in the apartment. There is a magnificient look over the sea. The pool is clean, large and has a dive board and a slide. "Sonesta was alright as a whole. The good things about this resort is the facilities and the options and selections of restaurants, drinks etc. The bad things about the place is definitely the service. I have rarely experienced such bad service on a holiday. The service (or lack thereof) was mainly an issue in the restaurants, where the staff was rude. I even had a waiter rolling her eyes because I asked for a baby chair. "
