This would be a fabulous place to stay if the common areas were clean. Hallways were not vacuumed, rubber inappropriate “toys” were left on the edges of photo frames, lobby needed swept. Left me feeling “icky” and not wanting to even touch the elevator buttons.

Loved the stay until I went to the gym to work out. The yoga mats were so old and worn out that particles were falling off of them. They got on my workout clothes, just disgusting. Need to replace those yoga mats!

It was OK but like another Hyatt Hotel at which we recently stayed it seems to be in need of a refresh, especially noted in the hallways (heavily stained carpet on our floor). Two of the three elevators were out one day, only two were working again the next day. When we checked in we were assigned a room that had not be cleaned. The front desk assigned us a new room but absolutely no acknowledgement of the situation or any verbal apology for the mistake. Poor customer service. The parking fee of $36/day is steep in comparison to other nearby hotels, most in the $15 range.

Thought my room could have been cleaner. The carpet in th hallway was extremely worn, dated and needed to be stretched. Just thought a Hyatt Hotel would have been nicer and especially what you have to pay a night for a room.

Hotel was great very quiet and clean. There was a bit of a view of downtown but not really a sight worth seeing. There was a lot of traffic and a lot pedestrians walking around. There is a lot of construction work going on so it’s very busy. Downtown is very tight with once again, a lot of people everywhere. Traffic is really heavy.

Property is in a good location right by Vanderbilt University, so there are many food/entertainment options within walking distance. Quiet area except when outside due to ambulances. Disappointed in breakfast quality and the pool not being advertised as closed for the season, a big part of why I picked this hotel. Otherwise helpful staff and a great room overall.

Came to Nashville to visit Vanderbilt University and Hyatt House is just blocks away from the campus. My son and I arrived early morning and was exhausted from the overnight flight. Hyatt House was able to offer me an early check in for a fee. It was a lifesaver and made our stay in Nashville a pleasant one. Thank you HH!

Staff are very knowledgeable of area. Recommended we take an Uber to our destination on Broadway. Thank goodness we listened. Traffic and parking is not ez. Great hot and cold breakfast items available daily. We would stay here again

Staff was nice. When checking in we were given a lower floor room. I asked for a higher floor and she was able to accommodate me. We didn't have any other reason to interact with staff. It was pretty clean, except for a couple of things here and there. Area was not bad, a little strange. A block on one side you have Vanderbilt U and Ruth's Chris steakhouse, one block to the other side some run down buildings. But safe, walkable. The hotel has attached parking structure. $36/day! Ouch. It does have a bar in the lobby and a "happy hour" which I didn't understand: live music but didn't notice any discounts. It does need a renovation though: carpet on hallway and room is coming off its padding, all wrinkled and someone can trip if they're not paying attention. Blind in our room was broken and pretty obvious (sideways!). Lamp shade broken, hanging to its side (again, obvious). Toilet paper holder broken. Toilet seat broken.

Over priced second night, things were broken, told desk and it never got fixed I showed them photos. Our bathroom door couldn’t even close. The window shades wouldn’t work so why get a hotel downtown if you can enjoy the view ? $400 nightly for a suite and there was no notice that pool was closed for the season, we wouldn’t went somewhere with indoor pool.

I don’t normally write reviews especially bad reviews but I felt this needed to be addressed. We travel a lot especially to Nashville ( my daughter is in college out here ) The front desk girls were gossiping in another language throughout my stay every time I walked through , they were not very helpful at all. I bought some items from the little food and beverage refrigerator next to the front desk since the bar/ restaurant was closed - the girl was in her personal phone talking the whole time - she knew it required an opener. I got to the room and nothing was there to open it so I walked all the way back down ( she’s still on her phone ) she says oh yeah I forget , here it is , I don’t know how to use it and handed me a can opener . The rooms were nice (water pressure was very low ) free breakfast was good.

This was overall a great place to stay in Nashville. The breakfast included with our stay was surprisingly good - many options for a filling and tasty breakfast. They have self serve parking, which is a plus, but it is pricey per night….i understand that this is a downtown hotel but all the extra fees add up fast. The only other negative comment I have is regarding housekeeping - they essentially don’t provide it unless you are staying for more than 4-5 days. I did request clean towels each of the 2 mornings we were there and they came and emptied trash cans when they replaced our towels, but that was the extent of the housekeeping.

The night shift check in staff need additional training. I arrived at 11:30 pm, following a cross country flight. I was exhausted and couldn't wait to get some sleep before my 7:30 am meeting. However, when I attempted to check in, the attendant told me she was logged out of the system and needed to figure out how to log back in. I stood there for at least 10 minutes while she unsuccessfully entered passwords. When I suggested she call someone to ask for help, the young woman she was training said to me, "You have to be patient. Try putting yourself in other people's shoes." It was truly laughable, as I was thinking "Try putting yourself in the shoes of the guest who expected to check in and go to sleep." This same dynamic duo was on duty when I checked out at 3 am a few days later. I asked to have my receipt emailed and they had no idea how to do it. So I got a paper copy, which I now must scan. I hate to call people out, but please provide additional training because they aren't the most competent!

Great property, but after all the fees the price of the room was quite expensive compared to the initial booking. $40 for parking, $40 to have our dog with us. Both fees were unexpected. I initially expected the room to be around $150 it came close to $300 after all the extra fees. Geesh
