"Great spot for staying a night or two directly in the Nara Park. This allowed us to get up early and have basically the whole park to ourselves before the tourist groups arrive. Would definititely recommend it!

"This property was self-checkin which was very convenient for us because we arrived from Kyoto fairly late at night. Although we were unable to leave our backpacks at the hotel (there was no onsight staff available for security), we conveniently stored all of bags at the station nearby for only a few US dollars while we walked around town and visited all the sites.

"Just had the most relaxing stay at the Fufu Nara. The property is exquisite. The staff was absolutely lovely - some of the best service we’ve experienced on our travels. Breakfast and dinner were top notch (we were able to experience both the Japanese and Teppanyaki options - do both if you can).
Our room was spacious, immaculate and perfectly appointed. The onsen was so relaxing.
Nara Park is a short walk away.
We hope to return to the Nara Fufu on future trips! "

"The hotel it self is very nice, clean and the view from all rooms, cafe, restaurant is stunning and beautiful.
However, it is unfortunately very dissapointing to learn that the pool/spa is completely separated for men and women. That means you cannot enjoy the pool with the family.
Furthermore you must be completely naked - which is not suitable for many persons.

"The hotel room is small, but nice, which is to be expected of the Apa Japan hotels. It has everything you need. The restaurant with the breakfast buffet is super impressive, with both a wide variety of western and Japanese dishes.
However, there are too few elevators for the hotel. We had to wait for a long time during the “busy hours” to get on an elevator. It’s not possible taking the stairs, even if you wanted to. Also, the hotel staff does not necessarily speak good English. We had some trouble checking in with the machine, and I tried to explain it to a staff member. He didn’t quite understand and just told me to check in using the machine - which I already tried, but the machine told me to go talk to a staff member. So kind of a loop there."
