La Cotte is a converted farmhouse facing south on to a courtyard flanked by two large barns. It stands in about one and a half acres including garden areas, a beautiful 12 x 6m Swimming pool, a variety of trees, including apple, plum, fig, mirabelle, quince and walnut trees, and a small meadow, It is set in farmland on a hill overlooking an attractive valley.



The Space:

This self-catering holiday home is a restored 19th century farmhouse standing on a hill overlooking an attractive valley. It has a sunny south-facing courtyard flanked by two large barns and the 1.5 acre plot includes garden areas with a variety of fruit trees including apple, plum, fig, damson, mirabelle, quince and walnut. It also has a beautiful large swimming pool (12m x 6m) with terrace over looking neighboring fields and landscape (mid-june to mid-september depending the weather).



The house is spacious and comfortable, with a very large family kitchen, and is amply provided in every way (bedding, kitchen machines and utensils, TV, music players, games, WiFi etc.. The aim is to ensure that our guests have everything they need, that everything in the house works properly and is of high quality.



If you like peaceful countryside, good food and wine and bustling French markets, start here Angouleme, Brantôme, Cognac, Périgueux and all the great wine-growing areas around Bordeaux (of which St Emilion is probably the most attractive) are easy to reach by car.

The Atlantic coast is less than 2 hours drive away; and the caves of the Dordogne are about an hour and a half away-a marvelous trip for a rainy day. swim or fish or boat in.

Golf: There is a 9 hole golf course in an attractive leisure complex about 15 minutes away which also has tennis courts and a swimming pool. Périgueux (40 minutes) and Cognac (50 minutes) also have very good 18 hole courses.



House linen is included (tea towels, bath mats).

Bed and bath linen is not included in the price, as our guests generally like to save the cost of this. However, we do offer an optional full set of bed and bath linen for 230€ incl. tax per stay. This can be ordered and paid for after booking.

A compulsory "intermediate cleaning" fee is charged at the time of booking and corresponds to the disinfection and preparation of the house between two tenants. However, the house must not be left dirty when the tenants leave. We ask our tenants to leave the accommodation as they find it on their arrival (kitchen and sanitary facilities clean, fridge and cupboards empty, no trace of apparent dirt, bins removed, etc.). , the Tenant will have a deduction from the deposit for the extra time spent cleaning the accommodation, at the rate of 35€/hour The tenant will be informed without delay by message via the platforms, by sms or email, with photo(s) and/or video(s) description of the advert for the price of the complete cleaning, or contact us directly. For this accommodation, the amount of this package is an additional 150€.
