Tucked off Magadi Road at Corner Baridi, Ngong Hills Trail Cottages at Gatville Green Haven sits on a quiet working farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills. The air is clean, views are wide, and birdsong runs all day around the cottages. Spread across ~3,700 m² of lawns, shade trees and a small pond with friendly geese, the lodge pairs simple comforts with immersive outdoor living: private patio time, sun loungers in the garden, and long alfresco meals in the BBQ gazebo. Pets and kids have room to roam in a secure, electric-fenced compound (fence active from 9 pm), and self check-in via on-site staff keeps arrivals smooth.

Your accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms / 2 baths with 3 beds (sleeps up to 4), fresh linen, towels and basic toiletries. The practical kitchen is set up for self-catering days with normal cooking items, while high-speed Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace keep you connected when needed. Outdoor seating areas give you space to sit, read or rest. On the farm side, tree-planting, bird-watching, blue-gum forest walks, and veggie harvesting add easy, wholesome activities; the farm is open for walks during the day, and fresh produce is sold at about KES 300 per bag. Kids can join short farm lessons for about KES 150 per person, adding a light “learn on the farm” experience. Evenings gather around the firepit under the hills.

Step beyond the gate into a man-made blue-gum forest of 3,000+ trees, with paths leading to panoramic lookouts over Nairobi CBD and JKIA. The main Ngong Hills Forest gate is only a short distance away, making the cottages an ideal base camp for hikers – you can be on the trail without a long drive. The free Corner Baridi viewpoint is close by, and you’re roughly 50 minutes from Nairobi National Park, so you can fit in a morning or evening game drive and still be back at the hills by sunset. Airport pickup and drop-off, plus transport to town, can be arranged for a fee, and if you prefer not to cook, staff can help with shopping and simple meal prep on request.
