"From checking in the staff were friendly and very polite. The breakfast was excellent, cooked fresh and to perfection with plenty of toast and coffee on tap. There was plenry of choice as well as a continental option. The room was excellent and the honesty bar is a great touch and not expensive for a late night treat or glass of wine. "

I had emailed in advance about taxi numbers and the possibility of a slightly earlier check in so we could have the keys and drop our bags before the wedding service. They were extremely helpful over email, with a quick and polite response.

"VERY crisp and ultra-clean. Not a speck of dirt nor a smudge anywhere. Cosy bedroom with good selection if drinks. Fresh milk was provided also. Comfy lounge with plenty of interesting reading materials. Unusually for online-booked B&Bs of this era breakfast was INCLUDED - as it should be for an £80 overnight stay! Dark sky provided at no extra charge! Excellent."
