"We enjoyed a three night stay at Mai Chau lodge. As the lodge was quiet being mid-week, we were given an upgrade which was a nice surprise. Our room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and lake. The local food offered in the restaurant was lovely. As options in the town were a bit limited we ate there every night. "Nice place right in town, but very quiet at night. Our room faced a cave in a mountainside right on the Main Street, the view was nice. The hot tub looks amazing, but is not working. The sauna and steam room are nice, there are also kayaks available. We opted not to go to the restaurant because it was very expensive. We went to Mai Chau No. 9 bistro which is amazing! Definitely go and tell the owner Missi and Tim sent you. He’s a gem. I’d stay here again, and hope for the hot tub to be back in...

"Our room was very spacious, but basic. No frills at all. The heated pool was lovely, but after swimming peacefully for about 15 minutes my husband joined me and so did a staff member. She sat on a chair and did a speaker phone call with family (including an excited, screaming child) and ruined the whole peaceful o space. "This lodge backs right up onto the rice paddies, and you can hop on a hotel bike and ride the easy paths right from there. So excellent location for accessing the rice paddies and for photos. It is a little ways from the village, about 1.6KM, so its best to bike to the village if you plan to go there for shopping or cheaper food. Otherwise, the hotel has great food and drinks, but not as cheep as you will find in the village. Everything is clean and fairly modern, it really has a resort feel....
