We loved our stay at this VRBO. The cabin is easily accessible and close to town, but still feels very secluded and private thanks to being behind a grove of trees & down a quiet road. The area is beyond beautiful and the rental was clean & super comfortable. We will be back for sure! Lisa was quick to respond to emails and sent us very helpful instructions about the rental and the surrounding area. A great host!
Inside, a comfortable 2nd floor small apartment - a bedroom with east facing windows to enjoy the sun once it crests the large hill outside, along with a nice view of trees. Bed was a queen, comfortable with nice sheets and blankets. The bathroom has a large shower and nice counter space available for toiletries with plenty of clean towels. The main area includes a comfortable pull out couch, table, chairs, etc, as well as a small kitchen & full fridge. Very helpful for storing some basics to snack on and drink! The main area has a wall of windows facing west with a gorgeous view of the lake. All windows open up to allow fresh air, and the heating worked very quickly for the one night we came home and the temp had dropped significantly.
Outside, nice sized yard with patio. The back of the yard has a staircase that goes down to the water and the westward views of the sunset were stunning. A small ramp extends out over the water. Small strip of sandy beach along the shore, easy to wade and enjoy the shallow water near the property's lake ramp...lots of stones on the lake floor so recommend water shoes.
Going into Munising is just a short 5 minute drive. I particularly enjoyed the coffee at Falling Rocks cafe as well as the bagels at Bay Furnace. There is a large park ranger office you pass by in town on the way to the rental, definitely worth stopping in to get advice & maps from the rangers there.
If looking for a cozy spot with direct lake access and close proximity to Pictured Rocks, this is the spot for you!
