"Very unique. It's a step back in time. Don't expect modern resort but you will get friendly authentic service provided by local people who bend over backwards to fulfill your needs and interests. Dufur is a very small old rural historical town in, what some would call, the middle of nowhere. "Interesting experience. There is no on-site staff, but the building is in excellent (restored) condition. You let yourself in with the door code and then you’re on your own. The on-site restaurant is not operating, so we drove a couple miles for dinner. We made breakfast from what was on site. Thankfully there was no noise from the railroad outside. We’ll be back."

"The RubyJune is a wonderful little spot. Gretchen and Chris are incredibly devoted to making your stay as personal as they can. It is a little oasis all on its own, with sweet gardens and fire pits and wine/beer in the refrigerator. Breakfast is delicious in the cozy kitchen. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our two nights in this lovely place."
