Fantastic friendly, helpful staff cant fault them. Highly recommend booking there its so lovely.
Use to camp there every summer for 21 years from age 5 years so seeing the improvements was a lovely surprise. Booking in after hours was easy. Family unit was well presented.
Lake & shop handy.
Fry pan and toaster were had it need replacing.
Lucky we took our lil portable gas cooker & pan. Toilet cover kept falling off.
Booked online via Expedia and it stated unit serviced daily but on arrival told its not serviced at all. Considering could have booked in Taupo near lake for same price and a much nicer motel AND serviced daily was a bit of a disappoinment at Top 10 Motutere.
Stayed 7 nights so unit really needed a vacuum at least. No broom to sweep floors.
Lucky I took our own cleaning items and cleaned daily. No cleaning items supplied.
TAKE A FAN - No fan or large knife on arrival.
Can ask for restock of towels, but thats humbug having to do that daily.
Parking was not safe as the "dump station" opposite unit and large campervans, boats, caravans are in and out 24/7 and our car nearly got wiped out so had to park opposite unit and not next to unit as directed. They need to remove the bushes to allow better safer parking.
Family unit walls like paper so be aware of your noise with neighbours. Ours woke at 7am arguing, stomping in and out of unit then yelling at each other. They were really rude to me while sitting having a cuppa BUT everyone else there were lovely.
