The location is incredible - for us, 2 families with grown up kids. Getting from and to the external parking is super-easy, no need for the ground transport. The location is inside an area called Falaise - French for the cliff. There are supermarket, a great boulangerie and a ski rental store right next door, as well as a couple of restaurants and a laundromat. The ESF ski school is within a 5 minutes walk, and the main promenade is just after that, so very close, yet apart. Great ski-out - in 2 different directions - and reasonable ski-in (you have maybe 50m of flat to overcome). The views are spectacular. The property is recently renovated, with sauna, bathtub, shower and 2 toilets, fully equipped kitchen and anteroom with boots dryer etc. All in all, a great chalet.
There isn't a lot of space. In fact, the property listed as good for 10 people, but that would be cramming it. We were 7, and I think this is the ideal size of a party for this chalet. Some corners were cut in interest of space efficiency. For example, a washing machine is listed, but it's virtually unusable, being blocked by a sofa bed. Placing everyone around the dinner table was a bit of a challenge. There were some maintenance issues - some chairs were rickety, 2 times during the week maintenance people were summoned, but these are minor issues in an otherwise very cozy and comfortable property.
