Nothing like the photos. Ladybug infested, old and not clean. Hair in sheets, appliances falling apart, towels were small, no soap, seems as if the house isn’t used ever. It’s not safe tbh. It has shakey stairs and uneven floors. I do not recommend this home. It’s nothing like the photos.

The picture of the house is the back of the house. The front of the house is a ranch style house and not a cabin look. The house needs some upgrades to the bathroom especially. The shower knobs were wobbly. The main living room has one small blue sofa and not the white sofas pictured. The sitting at the dining room table are metal chairs and not comfortable at all. The space is decent just in need of updating and painting.

Extremely clean and updated inside. Large home with too many bunk beds. So you may need to adjust based on the sleeping arrangements published very clearly.Plenty of refrigerators for food storage on both levels and at the poolside.Did not end up using the pool due to the lack of time. Ours was a short trip.The host is very responsive and quickly accommodated our early check-in and late check-out requests.The pictures are all manipulated with filters but regardless the house is very nice. Not the traditional log cabin but a house on the mountain. There are no pictures of the front but it is deceiving to the true size of the house. I have posted some. Would rent this house again for sure.The exterior had a lot of large spider webs. Most we got rid off with a broom. There were too many leaves on the front porch which again we cleaned up using the same broom. Nothing too difficult. But would have been nice to have been done by the cleaners prior to our arrival.The pool and back deck are a lot more accessible from the basement or lower level.Location is about 8 miles from downtown Blue Ridge. Great restaurant option here. We ate at the Twisted Tomato. Highly recommend!

The most amazing house! We used this for a bachelorette of 17 ladies - there were plenty of comfy beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms for everyone; the pool house had plenty of counter space, a fridge, and a bathroom which was great for bringing down drinks and snacks so we could all swim and have fun together; the gazebo and lounge chairs were great for relaxing and talking, the multiple common areas and game room inside meant many great options to socialize and have large meals indoors; and the stars were amazing at night from the fire pit. The hosts were very responsive to all our questions. Would recommend this house to anyone - we hope to return with other friends in the future.

What a great stay!

This house was plenty big enough for our large group that stayed. There are coffee makers and refrigerators on both levels of the house, enough bathrooms, an incredibly sweet game room and theater for the kiddos. The pool was huge and they have plenty of inflatables and noodles. They also have a coffeemaker and a refrigerator at the pool. I would say the house is definitely stressed looking in some parts and the refrigerators take about 2 days to get cold, but overall it was such a great time. Very happy we chose Hodo Hideaway! We will be back.

60th Anniversary

The perfect place for our 15 family members to celebrate Mom and Dad’s 60th anniversary. This is the second time we had our reunion at this property and we loved it just as much this time. Spent six days and had a great time, Plenty of room for everyone to be together and also apart when we needed to! Big well-equipped kitchen. Loved the pool (with a very fun slide) and hot tub. Had movie night every night in the theater. Sat on the huge back porch with everyone in the evenings to enjoy the sunset or the rain showers. The host was excellent at communicating. Got back to us promptly when we had any questions. The property is about 15-30 minutes from groceries and other shopping as well as the charming town of Blue Ridge. Overall, we had a great time and it was a great place to stay.

Overall good experience

Very pretty view!! The property has more wear and tear than shown in the pictures. It could use another full bathroom in the bottom floor (replacing the small gym with a full bathroom would be perfect). It also needs some hook on bedroom walls that don’t have closets. The current owner recently purchased the property so I bet some up-dates are coming. We did have a great time and the host was very quick to respond.

Ideal North Georgia Getaway

Fall foliage vacation for family of 19 with mix of age groups. This is a fantastic property with spacious accommodations and room to roam outside. The dramatic and secluded location perfectly fit our desire for a mountain getaway. The host was very responsive and addressed all our questions and needs. Gorgeous and functional house, fantastic host - highly recommended!!

Incredible resort-type beauty!

This place is MASSIVE! It comfortably fit the 20+ family members for our annual family vacation. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. It overlooked the mountains and had plenty of space for the 6 or 7 cars we had. Absolutely would recommend to any large groups for a beautiful stay in the mountains!

Great for a work retreat

Great house with lots of beds for a large work retreat. We had lots of fun at the pool and in the home. Really appreciated the checkout process being so simple. My only critique would be the number of bathrooms is too few for the number of bedrooms/beds.

Amazing house, property, and amenities

The space of the house and the amenities like the game room, movie theater, and pool cannot be beat. The host was the most responsive and helpful we’ve ever dealt with. There were some minor maintenance issues that could have been fixed before we got there, but Dana was very quick to help when we brought them to her attention. The house was clean with the exception of the floors. The kitchen was not as well stocked as we would have expected for a house this size. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would return.

Dayna and her team are excellent hosts! We loved the home and the location! There is so much to do at the house that you wouldn’t need to leave, but there are also attractions nearby for excursions!! Our family had a wonderful time. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Dayna!

Amazing Property but Needs Some TLC

We stayed here for a big family reunion. Dayna was fantastic and very responsive. The pet policy is very accommodating. We loved the space and it is huge! That being said we did have some issues with the cleanliness of the property. The floors were filthy and our socks were nearly black from walking around. Someone spilled water in the kitchen and the rag came up charcoal. I don’t think the cleaning service is doing a very good job. The place needs a serious deep clean. There was hair all over one of the bathroom’s shower walls, hairy dirty sheets in one of the bedrooms, bodily fluids on a bean bag, and the hot tub was slimey. My uncle went to sit on his bed and it fell to the floor. There were no screws holding it together. We reached out to Dayna and she had someone out to correct this right away! The owner of the cleaning service came to clean said she guessed they just missed those areas and they pay an inspector to inspect the property so they must have also missed it. The trash was overflowing when we arrived but someone arrived the following afternoon to take care of this. The towels and some of the blankets have seen better days so we recommend replacing these for a better experience. The porch, stairs, and pool deck are rotting and being replaced piece by piece. I was very surprised by these details given the excellent reviews so it may be that our experience was out of the ordinary. Our family loved our trip & enjoyed this large space & beautiful view!
