"Very disapointed with our stay. Hotel is out of date and is in need of severe modernization. Every 5 minutes, there is a huge 30 second mechanical sound, which almost shook the entire room, making it impossible to sleep despite ear plugs. Breakfast was poor and grossly overpriced. The only upside is the big parking space and easy access to the highway. "

"I greatly enjoyed my weekend getaway. Al was very professional and polite and even upgraded my room. It was very clean and I loved the aesthetic of the hotel. It felt like staying at a relatives house. It is located in nature and I experienced being within a few feet of deers on the property, which was a beautiful sight. I will definetly be back."

"Everything is "unique" about Captain Grant's!...The perfect hosts Carol and Ted; the ambience; the beautiful furnishings; the cozy room with all the amenities; the absolutely fabulous breakfast w/ mimosas, pancakes with real maple syrup and blueberry topping on a exquisitely, complete totally antique, setting table arrangement; all the available extras...beer, wine, coffee. tea, brandy in the room, etc. A most wonderful experience"
"Very rude neighbors across the hall. Loud at 9:45 at night Adults snd several kids in and out of two rooms laughing and having a “dance party.” Everyone said goodbye in the hallway at 11:45 pm including the adults making sure every kid said “thank you.” To their “host.” Front desk called our room at 11:15 saying there was a note in the system that we requested towels. We were sleeping. We didn’t ask for towels. Nice room and courteous staff but we won’t be staying again. And the person above us...
"The owner was especially friendly and helpful. The room was clean and attractive, just like the photo. Wish there were additional pillows and a coffee maker, but we did not view other larger rooms, so it may have just been this one. It was very satisfying to support a small business."
