"This was a great stay, the camper and property were exactly as described. The roads surrounding the property are dirt, and can be pretty rutted in some places. I made it in my 2WD rental, but use caution! Wound up having a bonfire with the owner and other guests on property. Very memorable :)"

"This is the perfect location for a home base. We were an hour from Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, Arches, Canyonlands-Needles District, and Natural Bridges. There was even more within a 90 minute drive. Our problem is we didn't book a longer vacation. The view of the Abajo Mountains from the living room was awesome. There was a hawk nesting in one of the pines in the back yard. Our first afternoon at the house a group of 9 mule deer came into the yard, and after they left a second group of 11 wandered...

"We enjoyed our stay so much! It was much closer to fantastic hikes than we realized and the fenced yard was PERFECT for our dogs! It was also a lot larger than we expected and very well stocked with dishes etc, and they even had little snacks for us. Steve was SUCH a good communicator, it was easy to get any questions answered and he kept us informed of local weather, etc. We will absolutely come back to this place!"

"We had a very good time during our Blanding stay as we used the comfortable and welcoming Big Bear house as headquarters for our Cedar Mesa hiking and exploration. The home is remodeled and decorated in a welcoming and non-fussy manner; we felt at home. The kitchen in particular deserves a shout-out; it was complete with quality pans, dishes, and appliances."

"Great place for a family reunion--clean, lots of beds, a great pond to play in, not many mosquitoes, not many people around, and terrific scenery! The only drawback was the generator kept coming on-perhaps more solar panels are needed? Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for a great reunion!!"

"This place is fabulous! It was such a nice change of pace from chain hotels. We stayed in the Duke Room, which is basically a suite. We had two large rooms, including a king bed in the separate bedroom, and incredibly comfy futon sleeper in the main room. It also had dining table, microwave, mini-fridge. "They were able to accommodate us last minute and got apartment ready while we had dinner. We only planned to stay one night, but were so happy with apartment was able to extend our stay another night while visiting the neighboring national parks. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Place was clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Certainly met our needs."

"It's a good location and a lovely lodge. It is important to know what the home has to offer fully before booking. I had planned to travel there during a rather warm period and when booking I saw that it had air conditioning. Upon arrival the A/C is actually only two portable A/C units in the living room. It was about 79 degrees in the living room area (with A/C's running). In the bedrooms and upstairs it was significantly warmer. Warm enough that after showering I was still dripping sweat. ...
