Catskills Mid-Century Modern 2-bedroom in Monticello, NY

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cabin in the woods near the Swinging Bridge Reservoir and its Marinas. A swimming and paddle board friendly reservoir is the Rio (15 minutes away). Creating this space, I endeavored to have my guests feel the house had all the comforts of home. Have a busy life? Ask about our special services at a low cost.

Enjoy all the comforts of home at this clean and beautifully renovated Catskill Mountain cabin, located in a small and friendly lake community. The house was gut renovated in 2022 with a focus on space and all the comforts of home. We are continuously upgrading/ adding amenities to ensure an excellent stay.

No need to pack up your entire house- we provide clean towels, linen, and kitchen necessities as well as soap, shampoo and a washer/dryer. We have excellent Wi-Fi and multiple laptop friendly work spaces.

Walk up a few steps to the front porch with a large deck with comfortable seating for those sunsets. There is a spacious living room. Enjoy the game or access your subscriptions (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon etc.) on the big screen TV. We have an assortment of books, games and children's toys as well as brochures for local points of interest.

In the kitchen we have a stainless steel fridge and powerful convection oven, as well as a toaster oven, microwave and bread toaster. We don't have every gadget that you have in your kitchen, but we should have enough to get you going with basic pots, pans and utensils. We have a full set of cutlery, mugs and dishware, as well as disposable plastic plates, bowls, cups and cutlery. We also provide a Keurig coffee maker with a selection of K-cups, tea bags, sugar and creamer. The dining room table offers seating for six.

There are two bedrooms in the house. The mattresses, pillows and blankets are super comfortable and each room has black-out shades, helping you to a great night's sleep even away from home.

Master Bedroom:

Offers a king-sized bed, nightstand and closet with a chest of drawers. There is an iron/ironing board and an extra fan in the room.

Bedroom 2:

This room is great for adults or kids. There is a bunk bed with a full size mattress on bottom and twin mattress on top. There is a desk and 4K monitor for connections to your laptop. This room has a ceiling fan and a dresser for personal effects during your say.


The back patio has a fire-pit and seating for you and your family.

There is baseboard heating throughout the house, with an individual thermostat in each room.

We have an infant bathtub, pack-n-play, and toddler booster seat available if necessary. Just ask!

The lake is located just a 10 minute walk from the house and is a wonderful place to rent a pontoon. The lake allows motorized boating and activities, and is stocked with an array of fish for catch and release fishing.

Fancy swimming? Or. If you own your own paddle-board or kayak or canoe, the Rio Reservoir is just 15 minutes away. Free access to the lake and free parking.

There lake access close by (free) though the marina does have a charge.

The property is 18 minutes (10 miles) from Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center for events and concerts.

Pets are allowed, please let us know in advance if you plan to bring one. If you bring a pet, an extra $50 cleaning fee will be charged.

We strive to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. We have a caretaker in the community and live nearby in case anything is needed. We always listen to suggestions to keep improving the house and the supplies that we offer. Our guidebook offers recommendations for local restaurants, activities and attractions.
