Gæsterne er også meget tæt på NT ejendom Powys Castle, med 3 andre inden for 45 minutter, Chirk Castle, Erddig og Attingham Park. Welshpool til Llanfair dampbanen, Montgomery Canal og Lake Vyrnwy er alle lokale og et besøg værd. Quad biking, paintballing og ridning er alle tilgængelige lokalt, og vandsport kan findes på Bala Lake og i Llangollen, en 40-minutters kørsel. Historisk Shrewsbury ligger 30 minutters kørsel, og den vestlige Wales kystlinie er cirka 1 times kørsel. Butikker, pubber og restauranter 1 km.

Had a great getaway for my wife’s surprise 40th with 3 other families, 16in total under one roof not to mention the dogs. Kids (and adults) enjoyed the playroom and hot tub (sadly it was off season for the pool) as well as the TV room with possibly the biggest TV in the world :) - great for watching the 6 Nations! Local Montgomery is a lovely little village with nice pub for lunch in The Dragon but is a mile drive away and the castle was worth a visit with the hounds. Slight lack on certain essentials such as toilet roll, hand soap but overall worthwhile especially if you have an army with you!

Not a very good standard of property

We arrived to celebrate with family a 70th and 40th birthday. On first reaction of kitchen very shabby , fridge in the ?Pantry freezer all frozen up with leftovers of other guests ice cubes opened bags, cooker door broken handle and did not shut so could only use 1side of the cooker,tap handle broken, windows filthy I had to clean one to make sure ,very sticky dining table and well worn chairs with hollows in. Badly fitted kitchen cabinets with pots that had chips in also glasses with chips, there was also a pain of glass missing out of the dresser very dusty inside.Lounge piano had thick layers of dust around the bottom edges,also little table in the lounge has glass mark stains from previous guest. Overall very poor . I had to clean a mound of leaves from the pool surely this should have been seen to before our arrival. After I cleaned and brushed the patio area we as a family enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna.Outside furniture also shabby good job we didn’t have to sit out . No hand towel in downstairs toilet, light bulb out in the hallway couldn’t find a spare one. Basic bedrooms bed linen old but clean, curtains in the twin room do not even meet in the middle or fit at the ends. Bathrooms need a deep clean grime in the grouting around the shower, toilet stopped flushing in the attic bedroom,I opened the skylight and hundreds of flies swarmed in couldn’t get rid .My son was in the double bedroom with the cot for the baby we didn’t use the cot you provided as I am sure

Spacious and comfortable property extremely well appointed and conveniently situated to popular attractions. This house with pool hot tub and games room is sure to keep your holiday spirits up even if the weather disappoints. A "must " for family groups . . .

Celyn is a beautiful property.

Celyn is a beautiful property. My eight grandchildren and their parents for that matter used the pool and hot tub throughout the day and evening, despite snow on a couple of days. We all had a wonderful time and hope to return soon as possible. The grounds are lovely too, with a paddock at the end of the fenced garden. The cinema room is lovely and well stockd with a variety of videos and then there is a games room with pool table, again well used. There is a piano in the living room which got a little noisey with the little children, but our 2 eight year olds learned a little tune with their mum and that was lovely. Montgomery town is only a couple of minutes drive. There is a little Spa shop there which has essentials but we found we had to travel to Welshpool for a decent shop and with a family of 16, we did need to shop. Montgomery is a beautiful little town and of course the walk up to the castle was lovely to and quite easy to get to from the little car park.

Lovely house, plenty of space for everyone. Great pool, hot tub and Sauna. House equipment and furnishings were all as expected. Log burning fire was amazing and warmed house throughout, bought logs from local supermarket, was great as it was needed on a nighttime when we finally got everyone in out of the pool and hot tub 😀 Apple and Damson trees - help yourself was the clear message which was great, Thankyou. Surrounding area was lovely Supermarket 10 mins down the road with plenty of choice Gavin was great, on arrival the pool cover had come off and he stayed and gave the pool a thorough clean, which was much appreciated since it was late on a Friday afternoon. Very accommodating and helpful Fantastic family weekend away celebrating a birthday - thankyou

Celebrated wife’s 30th Birthday couldn’t ask for anything more. Accomated all ages (2-70 years old. Made lots of fantastic memories, kids enjoyed the pool while the adults loved the hot tub. Added extra was that Gavin let us stay for a few hours after check out time because cleaners were due later in the afternoon which he really didn’t have to. Thank you for a loverly stay. A great house perfect for families , friends and party get togethers! Montgomery is a perfect location and house is just so well equipped for so much fun! Heated pool was a real highlight. The owner is very helpful, would highly recommend and am desperate to go back!

Amazing weekend away. Plenty of space, great facilities, lovely welcome from Gavin, who explained how everything worked and also came back on day 3 to make sure all the chemical levels in the hot tub were ok. We found out before we went that ASDA deliver to the house, so we pre-planned the shopping which was a god send, however the local Spar is only 3 minutes drive. Couldn't fault the house, we are all planning on going back in May 2020. Recommend to all, peaceful location, no neighbours, which was a bonus. Plenty of fridge space and oven space, everything you need in the kitchen cutlery and pots and pans wise. Plenty of glasses and plates. But would recommend taking some decent t-towels, even though there were a few, they were cotton and got more and more wet through. Lol. Theres a big shed with lots of inflatables that people have left, us included. We also took some citronella candles for the evening which helped as the time of year we went there were a few wasps but nothing we couldn't handle. We took a speaker to play music outside which was a good idea too. Overall was an amazing weekend with great friends in a beautiful house. If your thinking of booking here, dont hesitate. Book today.

Lovely place, great size and facilities.

Lovely place, great size and facilities. We all loved the pool and hot tub and the kids loved the pool and table tennis table. Having the two sitting rooms was ideal so some could watch a film on an evening whilst others watched the sports and played games/ listened to music. Kitchen was well provisioned and the amount of sitting space at the dining room table was perfect for our group of 14, which we’ve found to be rare at other cottages we’ve used. The owner, Gavin, was welcoming and when we had one very minor issue he was attentive and resolved quickly for us. We’re considering booking again for next year already.

Shared a lovely weekend away with with friends. House is well equipped to deal with the number of guests and loved that the table in the kitchen fits everyone. Modern appliances with a cottage feel and a log fires. Bring your own dvds to enjoy in the cinema room and your walking boots to enjoy the countryside. Lovely

Excellent cottage, family of 17 staying for a week ages ranging from 8 weeks to 60. Everyone had a great time in the pool, and playing in the grounds. Evenings we had calm down times in the cinema watching family movies. Bbq provided and was big enough to cook for us all. Beds were mainly comfortable, only family room double had an uncomfortable mattress. Would definitely recommend this cottage and had not already booked a different one for next year would 100% return, here's to year after x

We had a fabulous week at Celyn and would definitely visit again. Our party included 6 adults and 5 children (all 5 and under) and the cottage was perfect for us all with plenty of space and entertainment options. It's fairly remote and some of us thought was was a bonus whilst others would have preferred a shop/pub within walking but its beautiful and homely for a week in the welsh countryside.

Stayed here for my sisters hen weekend (16 of us in total) and it was absolutely amazing!!! Never stayed in such a nice place, it has everything you need! We all had such a great time we were gutted to be going home! I've even had people message me to ask for details from seeing pics of the place on Facebook. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be retuning! The owner is lovely too and really helpful! Thanks so much for making such a big occasion so memorable
