"We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day. Muchas gracias!"

"Nice staf checking in. Dirty room, 1 of my pillows had 15 stains of yellow fluid ! Terrible breakfast, almost nothing to choose from, no waiter to serve you coffee etc., Hotel only survives for the Hot pools and a small infinity pool with beautiful view of Arenal. Also don’t expect to sleep, families shouting and at 6:00 staff start up a high pressure water gun and start a super noisy cleaning. Absolutely not worth the money, choose any other Hotel in the Neighborhood."
