Come enjoy the best kept secret in VA and see what Smith Mountain Lake has to offer! Brand new in 2023, 7-BEDROOM Hideaway Ridge sits on the waterfront overlooking beautiful SML a few feet from the water's edge. The home features a private large SALT WATER HEATED POOL, Hot Springs 8-person HOT TUB and pool deck veranda overlooking the lake, GAS FIRE PIT, large PRIVATE DOCK and luxury living with a spacious, open vaulted floor plan with large covered decks and windows overlooking the lakefront providing abundant natural light and views. It comes fully equipped to handle any size vacation, featuring 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, at the best location on the lake with easy lake and road access to many restaurants, wineries, marinas, state park hiking trails, kids activities, parks, etc, all within a few miles of the home. Ideal for large groups both indoor and out with huge covered decks and breathtaking panoramic lake views.


Please note: We try and keep the heated pool open as long as possible but when temperatures get below 50 degrees, the pool is unable to maintain swimmable temperatures. The pool should be available for use through October and starting in April. We hope the large covered Hot Tub helps fill the gaps through Dec-Mar!

The best place to enjoy life on the lake is outdoors and this home comes with multiple areas to enjoy! Including a large covered outdoor veranda on the main level with stone fireplace, LED TV, large dining table and adirondacks to take in the amazing wide views, enjoy morning coffee, gather for meals or share memorable gatherings all throughout the day. The lower level game room opens to a lower covered patio with 8-person Hot Springs hot tub, LED TV and bar seating overlooking the lake and your private dock. All leading out to a pool veranda overlooking the main lake with large stationary and floating dock for swimming and boat parking.

The home comes furnished with Comcast high speed WiFi, 4 large LED TVs with Xfinity cable and lots of room for family/friends on each of it's three floors and outdoor spaces. All the lake amenities that you could ask for including a Heated Salt Water Outdoor Pool, Hot Springs Hot Tub, Covered Dock, Private Swimming Area, Large Upper Deck and Lower Patio, Game/Rec Room, Shuffle Board, Large LED TVs, WiFi, Washer/Dryer, Boat Anchoring and more!

The main entry level has a large open living room with 65” LED TV, blu-ray player, a well equipped kitchen for cooking and eating with large groups, Master Suite (see bed sizes below), Guest Bedroom and full bathroom. The upper level includes vaulted walkway to 2 Bedrooms and full bathroom . The lower level has 3 Bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms as well as a large Rec Game Room, Pool Table, Wet Bar and 85” LED TV.

Both the main, lower level including the bedrooms lead out to large outdoor spaces which are a convenient ways to enjoy the views and lake. Main level deck features a gas grill and abundant seating and tables for maximizing time outdoors during meals or morning coffee.

Lake Community - Two wineries and horse back riding farm are within a mile of the home. Many restaurants, marinas, state park hiking trails, kids activities, parks, are within a few miles of the home.

Extended Family VaCay

Our whole family - our three sons, their spouses and children - spent a spectacular week together at Hideaway Ridge on Smith Mountain Lake. The home, setting, facilities, and location enabled us to spend lots of time together while also providing spaces for children to play separately from adults visiting. The management team is responsive and delightful. A great place for a family vacation.

House and location are amazing. No toilet paper, soap or trash bags.

The house itself is great. Plenty of space and everyone can spread out. The paddle boards were loved by the teenagers. Location is convenient to everything. House keeping and basic necessities need looked over. Reading the listing beforehand I know that I need to bring shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I never thought that we would spend over 400 a night drive 8 hours and show up and there be no toilet paper or hand soap. These are basic items that are offered at literally every other place I’ve stayed since 2005. Ceiling fans need dusted, especially the downstairs master. There was a dirty diaper in the trash can under the sink. Receipts under the couch and q tip under a bed. Owners- beautiful house, look into better house keeping or your ratings are going to fall.

Family weekend

This house was perfect for 10 adults and 12 children. The heated pool was the biggest hit and the extended shallow end was great for the youngest ones. There are 2 paddle boards (but bring your own life jackets) for paddling down the cove. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and there was plenty of seating for everyone. The only reason I didn't give the check in process 5 stars was a bit of confusion over the address of the house, but everything was settled quickly and the problem has been corrected. The owners were available immediately to straighten it out. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this house and we'll enjoy our memories for a long time.

Amazing Rental for Families

This house was amazing for our family! We loved the property and the amenities this house offered! The salt water pool was so relaxing and hot tub was great to relax in at the end of the night. Extremely relaxing weekend. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful House, Disturbing Construction

Agree with beautiful house, great location to food store, gas station and all amenities. However, major construction still happening. We couldn’t post a review without mentioning all the construction noise. Felt it would be deceitful. Trees being cut down to our right, saws, nail guns for roof on a house to our left, concrete trucks, logging trucks, back up beeping constant. Reached out to owner, received apology and tried to be accommodating. However, told construction would resume. No covered dock as in printed description. Narrow cove, could not put lake mat out or neighbor next door would not get boat passed. The pictures of place have been updated to show it as a cliff dweller, lots of stairs down. We did enjoy our family and friends and the accommodations the house provided; hot tub, pool and being close to marina. This was our second time renting from host and as stated tried to be accommodating, very responsive.

Lovely family week at the lake

This new house is beautiful. The pool and hot tub were great. We were very disappointed that there wasn’t a pool table. It was listed in the description of the house, yet wasn’t there. That had been a significant factor in my decision making. But the family spent hours playing corn hole. And we all had a good time. At present there is no grass despite the green lawn in the photo.

Construction annoyance

The property was clean and well furnished inside - however the company owners have 3 unfinished projects on this street - so machinery moving dirt around every day during the week- left a layer of dust on everything on the outside of our house - chairs, tables, decks, etc, Along with the noise of construction machinery moving dirt and rocks. , Then on a couple of days - fires were built to burn appliance boxes and building debris in the yard of the house next to us - making it unpleasant to breath outside and sending ash and debris into our pool. I notified the manager of a leak under a bathroom sink and that the oars for paddle boards were missing. I received a reply that a plumber would be sent over and that the oars would be replaced - but that did not happen during the 9 days we were there. I know this is a new property- but I really think renting any of the houses prior to the completion of outside construction and landscaping is not conducive to a quiet, relaxing vacation in this lake home.

New home. Poorly managed.

Beautiful new home on street with new home construction active next door and down the street. Had to request check-in instructions the day before check-in. Response time from host was slow. After several attempts at communicating, I finally received instructions on day of check-in. House provides no hangers in the closets. There is no iron or ironing board. Air conditioning up stairs does not work. Host sent someone out the next day to check it. He took a quick look and simply said everything was working, when it clearly was not. It never cooled the air upstairs. Fortunately we had cooler evenings which made it bearable to sleep. I would not recommend staying here during summer months if you expect air conditioning.

Wonderful family reunion at Hideaway Ridge!

We had an amazing family gathering at Hideaway Ridge! The house was a perfect fit for our group, offering spacious bedrooms and multiple gathering areas including two living rooms and various outdoor spots. Dining on the top deck with stunning lake views was a highlight, and the kids practically lived in the heated pool while the adults relaxed in both the pool and hot tub. It seemed like we were the first guests at the house, which was a pleasant surprise! Although we encountered a few minor amenity issues like insufficient toilet paper and dishwasher soap, we’re confident that the Beville team will address these for future guests. Mike from Beville was very responsive both before and during our trip. One thing to note is that there is ongoing construction in the area around the house, but it didn’t significantly impact our enjoyment of the property. Overall, our stay at Hideaway was fantastic, and we would happily choose to hide away here again!

Perfect Lake Retreat

A perfect lake retreat for a larger group. Excellent location on Smith Mountain Lake, including dock, paddle boards, heated pool & hot tub. The beds are the most comfortable sleeping mattresses I have ever slept on while traveling. The home is beautiful and the views amazing. Close to shopping, wineries and restaurants. Definitely is a true vacation.
