Welcome home!

You are welcomed to check-in & check-out any day of the week so that you avoid the usual Saturday traffic jams in France (and/or enjoy better airfares). Although we are pretty flexible, we simply ask that you check-in before 8pm.


Imagine yourself on a balcony, on the beautiful Cote d’Azur, in an elegant apartment building facing the Mediterranean Sea. Awake to the gentle lapping of the waves on the immaculate beach. Take your croissant and café on our west balcony facing a delightful garden. Drink your evening cognac on our south balcony directly facing the turquoise sea.

Laurie’s Dream Apartment is a haven in a little corner of paradise. Beside the sea, it is conveniently located minutes from the charming pedestrian street, the famous fresh fruit and vegetable market of Menton, various shops, and notable restaurants, all walking distance. At Laurie’s Dream, you do not need a car, but if you so choose, there is city parking available, on metered streets and in garages.

This charming turn-of-the-century building, the 1900s, has a pleasant garden available for you to sit in and cool off in the shade of banana and palm trees. It also has an adorable and functional birdcage ascenseur (elevator).

We are very pleased to announce that our remodeling is finished. Our new separate bedroom, with a new double bed and large closet, overlooks the garden with its beautiful trees, plants and flowers, including the elegant and colorful Bird of Paradise. You also wake up to a glorious view of the sea.

One of our two balconies is located off of this bedroom, and is a perfect spot for your morning coffee or even lunch, not to mention evening drinks while enjoying the sunset.

Our new modern kitchen is equipped with everything that you need, should you decide to cook and not take advantage of all the wonderful restaurants in Menton. Please be informed that there is no dishwasher.

The very modern bathroom is well equipped as well, as you can see from the photos (shower towels provided all year long; Beach towels provided during the Season).

The large salon has French doors facing the sea, offering a gentle breeze.

Our second balcony is located off of the salon, for you to enjoy sunrises and sunsets overlooking the sea and views of Cap Martin to the west and Italy to the east.

We are also very pleased to mention our new air conditioning unit to help you stay cool after hot summer days at the beach.

The apartment has wi-fi for those who need to stay in touch.

Bien sûr, Menton itself offers train and bus service to all the charming villages in the area. Perched villages include Roquebrune Village, St. Agnes and Gorbio. If you are museum aficionados, you can visit museums dedicated to Jean Cocteau in Menton, as well as others in Nice and other towns dedicated to Matisse, Picasso, and Renoir, and all of the changing exhibits in Monaco, which is also a quick train ride away.

And don’t forget to look east. Our Italian neighbors offer a wide range of charming towns to see, including Ventimiglia for its Friday market, San Remo, Genova, and Cinque Terre, all close by.

Or just stay and love the view.

Menton is famous for its micro-climate of 320 sunny days a year. So come love it like we do.

Laurie’s Dream is the perfect place to spend quality time with family or friends. This wonderful apartment will ensure that everyone will be comfortable following their dream, whether it is resting, reading, sunbathing, cooking, eating, or drinking.

In order to help our guests to travel light, we provide beach towels (during the Summer season) , shower towels, bed linens and kitchen towels. The linen professional care has a cost of €100 which are payable cash on arrival (2025 fares).

Should you travel with a baby or a toddler, please ask for our optional baby cot & our stroller. We are proud to announce families with young children that were were awarded the selective award 'Famille Plus'' from Menton City Council.

Philippe and Catherine were always available and responded quickly on the few occasions I had a question. The apartment is well appointed and has remarkable views. The beach is right across the street and there are two balconies. I will be back!

A great apartment in a very advantageous location in Menton, a wonderful small city along the French Riviera. The apartment is on the first floor of a heritage building up one flight of stairs. There is a vintage elevator but we preferred to take the stairs not being used to an older manual elevator. Their are two balconies each with gorgeous views out to the promenade and beach. Everything is on one level however a staircase leads to an upper bedroom which is used only by the owner. The space is characterful with high ceilings and windows consistent with the elegant style of this earlier period. The kitchen is very compact but complete and functional. The hosts provided a personable service and Catherine was gracious regarding our misunderstanding of the cleaning as it was our first exeperience with Vrbo.

A great base for a short holiday in Menton. Location is fantastic and we had a warm welcome by Catherine. We enjoyed overlooking the sea and beaches, and it was fun to watch the Lemon Festival floats pass by from the balcony.

Laurie's Dream had everything we could possibly have wished for. Location, proximity to shops, car parking, and ,for the adventurous cyclist, fabulous routes into the Alpes Maritimes.

Un accueil de qualité qui change tout. Catherine a pris le temps de nous recevoir, de faire le tour de l’appartement, nous donner les lieux à visiter et les endroits où sortir (sans oublier un petit présent ). L’appartement est très bien situé, la vue mer est un vrai régal et les équipements correspondent à l’annonce. Idéal pour découvrir cette très belle ville.

This apartment is just as pictured. Fabulous view, and very centrally located, steps from the great fresh market as well as shopping and restaurants. It is cosy (code for not big!) but perfect for 2 and the large windows and 2 decks expand the feel of the place and provide extra lounging space. Quick train ride to Monaco, Nice, Ventimiglia and a lovely walk to Italy! Plus a free Navigator bus at your doorstep to take you to the train station. Only missing a washer. Would have liked more towels to have been provided. But a great spot. Catherine met us and gave us a great introduction to the apartment and Menton and Philipe met us at ‘check out’. They are lovely and helpful.

Ein tolles Apartement mit wunderschöner Aussicht. Alles was man braucht ist zu Fuß erreichbar oder mit Bus/Unsere Gastgeber Catherine und Philippe haben sich sehr große Mühe gegeben uns unseren Aufenthalt perfekt zu gestalten. Vielen lieben Dank dafür.

Perfekte Lage, 50m zum Strand, 100m zum wunderschönen Zentrum. Ein großartig renoviertes denkmalgeschütztes Haus, direkter Meerblick. Mit viel Intelligenz eingerichtet, es ist wirklich alles vorhsnden, was man braucht. Sehr nette Übergabe, Kontakt jederzeit möglich. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Great location to all facilities, beach, restaurants, train and buses. The property was excellent, however needed maintenance on the entry door (difficult to open) and the pillows needed updating. We would stay at this property again.

Monton is one of the most beautiful places I have experienced. The month here was exquisite!! Four areas to enjoy- the harbor is gorgeous. The beach and promenade are gorgeous! Old town is fun with stores and restaurants. And outside of Old Town is also fun with wonderful shops and restaurants! The town has a train staton and the train rides along the Cote D’Jour and into Italy. The train is a wonderful way to experience other areas along the Mediterranean! No need to have a car! Our apartment, Laurie’s Dream is great! It overlooks the beach and the promenade which is filled with wonderful restaurants (as are the harbor and the town.)Two balconies overlook the sea, one which gets the morning sun, the second the afternoon sun. The apartment is very well located, right down the street from the market and right around the corner from old Town. And the best thing about the apartment is Catherine and her husband Phillipe. They are available to answer questions, make recommendations, and to take care that everything in the apartment is fine. And they are super friendly!! Thank you, Catherine and Philip! We loved our month in Menton! Cece and Fred USA

Laurie's Dream was the perfect place for us to stay on our recent week in Menton. The apartment is beautiful with great sunlight, cute balconies, and an incredible view of the sea. It is SO convenient to cafes, the market, and the beach. It is decorated nicely, is very clean, and had everything we needed to live comfortably for the week-- even beach chairs, beach towels, and an umbrella in case it rained. The bedroom was quiet and dark. The kitchen had everything we needed. We would gladly return here any time-- many thanks!

We arrived at our destination and were warmly greeted by Catherine. She was so pleasant and personable. She took us to the apartment and showed us where things were and went over all kinds of helpful info- trains, bus schedules , walks, hikes. There were beach chairs and beach towels too, which was great. Lots of amenities in the apartment The two balconies are perfect for watching the world go by - lots to do in Menton and area or just relax at the beach We have stayed at a number of VRBO’s and Catherine was top notch - her husband Philip popped by at check out and he was also very personable and easy to chat with too Aces for sure Jan and Jim - Ontario Canada

Empfang und Verabschiedung waren sehr herzlich. Die Kommunikation mit vielen wertvollen Infos von Catherine war perfekt. Die Wohnung war schön und die Lage vor dem Strand mit Meersicht absolut top. Leider war es in der Wohnung etwas kalt. Die Heizung über Klimaanlage hat nicht funktioniert und die Zentralheizung war nicht ausreichend. Wir haben die Tage trotzdem sehr genossen und können die Wohnung und die Stadt Menton sehr empfehlen

We spent 2 weeks in Menton, enjoying the perfect location of the apartment. The view from the 2 balconies is absolutely amazing and the apartment is furnished with all we needed. We enjoyed the fact that we could walk to the narket, bakery und supermarket without using the car. We will come back again.

We had an amazing experience during our stay at "Laurie’s Dream" in Menton, France. The view overlooking the beach was breath-taking! One of the highlights of the trip was having breakfast and afternoon snacks out on the balcony just to look out at the waves and lively boardwalk. The apartment was very bright, comfortable, and clean. The kitchen was very functional, with all the appliances needed. There was also a closet with beach equipment. It was clear to us that a lot of thought and care was put into this apartment. If that wasn’t enough for a great experience, the location of the apartment was also perfect! Besides merely having to cross the street to go for a swim at the beach, the apartment is close to countless local shops and many good restaurant options. As a personal touch, the local manager Catherine provided us with a list of her favorite restaurants in the area, and the ones we tried were all doubly approved! Whenever we got in touch with her, Catherine was responsive, friendly, and extremely helpful. She gave us all the information we needed regarding activities, transportation, etc. For those days that we felt like exploring the area, the public transportation was very effective. Laurie’s apartment is a mere 15 min walk from the train station, and we were able to hop on a train and be in Nice in about 30 minutes, and a lovely market in Italy in 15 minutes. We had a terrific time here, and we can't wait to come back!
