Easy check in…although I was charged $25 for checking in 1 hour early. Room was clean and comfy. In the morning there were several people sleeping in the lobby. Felt a little off.

There is a lot of road construction in this area. It didn’t bother us, but could be a problem in the future. It was a quick drive from the Excel Energy Center, so the location was good for us.

The road construction will be a bus line that runs from St. Paul to Woodbury, and hopefully will be done by 2025. This will allow you to take a bus to the Xcel in the future. I didn't care for our check in at all! We upgraded to the romance package, checked in and entered a room that wasnt what we ordered. Just to have to call down, wait and then move rooms!! The customer service coild have been better with addressing our concerns. Especially since this was for my birthday. It was our first time visiting this hotel and i wasnt impressed at all.

The property and rooms were not like the pictures. The wooden door frames on the rooms looked like they had been busted in. We had to switch rooms due to a big stain on our comforter. The second comforter has little blood stains on it. The front desk woman said “sorry we don’t have housekeeping”. We were given toilet paper rolls that were half way gone, there were splatter stains on the bathroom walls and small hairs in the shower. There were also no outlets on one side of the bed. Would not stay here again.

While the staff and room were adequate, I had a horrible experience overall due to the noise level. I was unable to sleep due to yelling in the hallway overnight and outside by room from the parking lot. There were various altercations going on during the night into 430 am and cars racing in and out of the parking lot. I had a job interview the next morning and was exhausted.
