We appreciate your feedback but were saddened to read your comments about your room as we operate a constant "TLC" and refurbishment programme here at The Exmoor White Horse Inn with all our rooms being constantly updated and refurbished on a rolling system but we do always try to update sympathetically to the age and character of the building - we are definately not a "Travel Lodge" type hotel where all rooms are the same.We do however completely understand your comment with regard to the TV in the Bar and we will be speaking to the Bar Staff as this is not the atmosphere we wish to have in the Bar - we can only assume it was quiet at the time and that the staff were using it for their own viewing, for which we sincerely apologise

We were saddened to read your response as it was made clear to you as soon as we received your message regarding a third person on yourReservation that you had not booked a Family Room and so there was a charge for a Child/third person in the room. At no time did you question this. And you clearly stated to the Receptionist that your daughter shared your bed with you anyway. As you stated, she did come in to Breakfast so surely no one would expect that for free? As far as nail clippings on the floor we find this very hard to believe as the room was most definately hoovered and all rooms are checked prior to arrival. With regards to outside lighting, we are based in the middle of the Dark Skies Reserve and so we time our lights to ensure as little light pollution as possible in this stunning Dark Skies area. We can only apologise if this caused you problems but you did check in outside of our normal check in times. And just to make you aware.,the Receptionist on check out found your attitude/behaviour to the extra charge quite out of order - we are not used to our staff being spoken to in that way. So not only were you disappointed but so were we.

We are so sorry to hear of your experience. If you had raised it at the time we would have been more than happy to replace the meal - we hate the thought of anyone leaving here disatissfied inany way. We hopethat this did not spoil your break on Exmoor

We are truly saddened reading your feedback as we hate the thought of anyone leaving here disatissfied in any way and we are not aware oif any complaints being raised, either in the Bar or at Reception. We apologise that Reception was unmanned when you arrived but the Receptionist was checking other guests in at the time. With regard to microwaving steak we can assure you we would NEVER do that. As we are sure you were aware, there was not a spare table available in the Bar that night which underlines the fact that your experience is definitely not the norm, we only wish you had spoken to someone onsite so taht we could have rectified any issues. And rest assured, we would have gone out of our way to do so

We can only apologise about the internet, BT are working in the area upgrading to fibre and it appeared to be affecting our connection but it is now all sorted. We trust that itr did not spoil your stay with us
