"After some of the negative comments I had read, I was honestly a little worried, but I had NO complaints. The hotel is beautiful, the air conditioning is frigid (it was 105 degrees F outside), the room, positively sumptuous. The dinner was great. The breakfast was simple but perfect. The parking lot is around the corner, but safe. And it’s centrally located."
"I had an unpleasant experience during check-in at the hotel. The staff was terribly rude and insisted we had no booking, only to discover later that the person assisting us was not properly trained and had been looking at the wrong screen."
"The water in the bath at the room was never warm - only luke/cold when using it in the morning.
The was a lot of dust on things in the room.
Aircondition in the room was a bit noisy, and the control panel stated filters needed maintenance.
The view was not existing - a wall from the neighboring building 5-10 meters away.
Anyway, the staff was very, very nice - friendly and helpfull"
"Chateau Castigno is located in the absolutely stunning area completely picturesque. Two good restaurants in the village of Assignan including a great breakfast.. many others within a short driving distance. The cave is an architectural gem with a thoughtful caring winemaker at the helm. Delicious!"
