"The location is remote, peaceful and lovely. It's an old building and full of character with huge, comfortable rooms. All the staff were helpful. Breakfasts were a little limited, but adequate. We didn't enjoy the one dinner we had, but it was good value. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for its excellent value accommodation and location."
"**Disappointing anniversary stay**
We booked Lanelay Hall over three months in advance for a special anniversary and were looking forward to the luxury boutique experience advertised. We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms.
Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room. Although the hotel has confirmed this was the Deluxe category we booked, the room itself was very disappointing. It felt clinical rather...
"What a stunning property. A beautiful, loved home with such small intricate thoughts to make your stay stress free.
Simple things like cleaning materials, hand-wash, extra towels, throws, board games and books....... I know they sound simple things, but a lot of properties miss these things out.
Our host was attentive and available if we needed and he made the process so easy.
It was great for our dog, with 2 parks within 100m of the property.
I would highly recommend this quiet retreat if...
"Really fantastic and well furnished cottage. The location is great with 2 pubs within a
3 minute walk. The BBQ hut and outdoor seating is perfect and the kitchen had basics available like fruit teas, oil, salt, pepper ect. The only reason for no 5 stars is the bed in the second bedroom is a small double/large single and not big enough for 2 adults. There is also no gate on the front garden seating area which meets directly to the road, so inappropriate for dogs. I would however stay again...
"A great accommodation in a lovely and quiet area. The property is very well kept and just as the photos show. Thank you for providing such a cute and clean space to stay in while in Wales. Would definitely recommend!!"
