Hotellet virker temmelig slidt. Der var et super ulækkert gulvtæppe på gangene og vores aircondition var fyldt med mug og gav en ubehagelig lugt, når vi tændte for den. Desuden larmede den virkelig meget. Der var en del larm fra restauranten i stueetagen. På grund at den ulækre aircondition og gangarealerne vil jeg ikke anbefale hotellet til andre.

Beautiful art deco hotel
An architectural gem in the middle of the historic district, one block from the beach. Rooms very slightly tired by highest US standards, but prices generally reasonable, and net result strongly recommended.

God beliggenhed tæt på strand og ocean drive, dog skal man være opmærksom på at hotellet ligger lige op af Clevelander som er et fest hotel. Receptionisterne var meget høfflige. Værelset var under standart for et hotel til denne pris. Igen kaffemaskine eller køleskab, og ekstremt lydt mellem værelserne. Generelt meget slidt hotel dog med en fin historie. Ingen mulighed for at købe mad eller drikkevarer på hotellet. Såfremt dette var ønskeligt skulle man tage turen over til fest hotellet.

The Essex Hotel was clean and the rooms were nice, the staff was nice but it needs some noise insulation. We were able to hear conversations from the rooms next to us and walking from the room above us. It is a party hotel so if you are not out until 3-4am I would not recommend it otherwise it is the place to be.

There is one ice machine in the building and it was frequently empty. The front desk does bring up a bucket if you call down. Also, my TV did not work the entire time. I reported it to the front desk twice but no one came to check on the issue and/or repair it. Over all, nice area in walking distance to the beach and other hot spots. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly

The room conditions were old and rusted. Front desk was helpful. They have to come turn the tv on the operate it everytime it’s turned off. Valet took forever to bring car. It’s very close to everything that’s the best thing about it

I ask a refund because they don't have any parking lot and it supposed to be a parking lot. I'm still waiting for my refund ... got an very bad service from expedia team who was not able ro refund me... never gonna use this company and will tell everyone i know about that !!!!

Personnel de l’accueil serviable mais sans plus. Tout s’est plus ou moins bien passé sauf les deux derniers jours pour le petit déjeuner. Personnel très désagréable autant dans les paroles que dans les gestes. L’avant dernier jour, après 30mn d’attente et voyant des gens extérieurs à l’hôtel nous passer devant sans raison, nous avons déjeuné ailleurs en payant. Le lendemain on nous à remis le petit déjeuner dans un sac en carton à emporter (alors que l’on avait toujours mangé sur place les 3 premiers jours) en nous disant que l’on ne pouvait pas manger dans la salle. On nous a traité comme des M…. À réfléchir pour un prochain séjour…

They double charged my credit card for “ taxes and fees”. Was already charged for that for the hotel via Expedia. Expedia told me to call the hotel. The hotel told me to call Expedia. No one sees to care. Hotel rate was $400 for two nights.

I would have given it a five-star rating; however, my room did not have hot water during the four nights of my stay. Despite this, the convenient location made my experience in Miami great, as it was easy to get everywhere I needed to go.

I did a 4day stay may 2nd to may6checked out. First and foremost the hotels is in the heart of south beach close to everything. The hotel itself was not so bad honestly they clean your room everyday if needed or asked. Fresh towels when asked. The bathroom wasn’t anything special tub was small no microwave for your food was the worst part but thankfully restaurants were still open till 5am so you know the city never slept while we was there lol. The bed was so comfortable and it vibrated my room looked exactly like the picture but better then what I expected after reading others reviews it really wasn’t bad as they say at all we loved it and we would stay again

The property was well kept the staff was excellent and attentive however the beds were 2 small for 2 people we were not given a chouce we had to run the water to get hot water temperature no refrigerator in room but it was very clean and reasonable rates

Staff were very nice, really busy checking in on May 5th. Issue was that offer guest had a key card to our room and accessed our room when my wife was showering. I put in complaint with manager.
